Re: Random characters ideas XD

Assassin by day, mother at night...

"Kids! I'm home!" - Mother
"So mom, how was work today at the office?" - kids
"Oh, nothing interesting," - Mother - 'Just a few cartel assassinations is all...'

Re: A Tale of Tails 5%

I bookmarked this so I can keep an eye on it.

I quite like the writing sample from Peter's path. Lily seems a bit sarcastic which is a nice change from the average oblivious otome protagonist.

Re: blind protagonist?

It's a weird coincidence, but this semester at my college, my acting teacher decided we were going to do the play 'Wait Until Dark'. This is the overall plot: "Susy Hendrix (Lee Remick) is a blind Greenwich Village housewife who becomes the target of three con-men searching for the heroin hidde...

I don't usually say a whole lot but I (sorta, kinda, maybe just a little bit) stalk the forums for interesting info and works in progress.

Here's a link to what I came up with for the intro of 'Sleeping Handsome'. I'd appreciate knowing what y'all think of it.

Re: Writing Dump and Critique

Well I was going to make a separate topic for this excerpt but I think I'll put it here instead. This came about from a previous topic I started here . Sorry if this turns out to be too long! The premise behind this is gender reversal in fairy tales. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful kingdom w...

Re: English is really funny

How about the several different uses of the word 'well'. Well, Jimmy fell well into the well but he is well now. Uses of 'well' in the sentence: 1. A pausing word. 2. Either he did a good job of falling or he fell a great distance. 3. A hole in the ground for drawing water from. 4. He is recovered, ...

That is too awesome Yon!

I think I'll play around with writing something like this and post it in Skill Development later. Thanks also for the advice Marcelo!

Beauty and the Beast Reversed

I've been reading fairy tales, adaptations and the like lately. While there are some really good adaptations out there, I still think they could take it a step further. In fact, when I read Beastly, which is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast in modern times, I really liked it. But then I had one o...

Re: English is really funny

This one's from Mary Poppins but it's still good: I know a man with a wooden leg named Smith. What's the name of his other leg? There's also a lot of regional differences to English. I'm mostly referring to America here though God knows the English have more than just Cockney. But even the differenc...

1. American English <-- Native Tongue. I wish I could say I was fluent but my spelling is atrocious. Thank God for spell check! 2. Spanish <-- Grew up hearing it spoken some at home and at school/out in public. I understand a lot better than I speak it. I'm taking Spanish in college now and learning...

Re: Endings in Visual Novels

It depends on if I'm playing a game with a lighter tone or a darker tone. If the tone is darker I expect some pain and suffering even in the "good" ending. If it is lighter, I want the bad endings to be a bit comical in nature and the good ones to be pretty much fairy tale endings.
