Re: Get Meowt of here!

A little late but thanks for the positive comments. ^-^ Just a quick update in time for the last mad dash to the finish line. :3 The game is taking shape and now we're in the final stretch, so it's the big push to get it finished on time. A few WIP screenshots from stages throughout the process: htt...

Re: Stopping looping for webm animations

Looking through some old code the closest thing I found was: init: image movie = Movie(size=(1280, 720), xalign=0.5, yalign=0.5, loop=False) label start: play movie "movies/mymovie.mkv" Now, no guarantees because; 1: Its not mentioned in the documentation 2: I tested the code, but my movie from tha...

Re: Stopping looping for webm animations

https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/movie.html#python-functions renpy.movie_cutscene(filename, delay=None, loops=0, stop_music=True) This displays an MPEG-1 cutscene for the specified number of seconds. The user can click to interrupt the cutscene. Overlays and Underlays are disabled for the duration of...

Stopping looping for webm animations

So basically I want to be able to display an animation, and then have it stop once the animation is complete. It's not immediately obvious how to do this, without using renpy.movie_cutscene, which I don't think is really what I'm looking to do here. #The animation is defined like so: image swordAtta...

Re: Change icon

If you haven't already done so you may need to define the icon in your options file.

Code: Select all

config.windows_icon = "icon.ico"

Re: Placeholder art showing up instead of the actual images

Marionette, neither images nor characters are defined in init blocks. Also, images are automatically defined as long as they are in the images folder. So there must be something else going on here. Perhaps a spelling error? I always define my images and characters in init blocks, more for neatness ...

Re: Placeholder art showing up instead of the actual images

You need to make sure you have the images defined in your code so they can be picked up by renpy. init: define a = Character('Andrea', color="#c8ffc8") define m = Character('Me', color="#c8c8ff") image andrea neutral = "images/sprite/andreaneutral.png" image bg room= "images/bgroom.png" label start:...

Re: How to use colors in dialogue with variables?

You just need to define your colour as a string and then do a normal string variable replace in your text, like your replacing a standard piece of text.

Code: Select all

  $ temp_color = "#123456"
  "Life is better with {color=[temp_color]}colors{/color}!"

Code: Select all

define slow_dissolve = Dissolve(1.0)
Defining it like that doesn't seem to make any difference, i still see the error.

Re: Ren'Py 6.99.11 Released

I seem to get an exception with the new version if i use an image that hasn't been defined and apply a transform on it like dissolve. It seems i can ignore the error and the script continues as before, though i don't think the operation is getting applied since the character doesn't seem to disappe...

Introduction: Hello everyone! My name is Jen and I’m looking to forming a group interested in making visual novels together in the long run. Getting this warning from my antivirus because of your game http://i.imgur.com/pY8lkxU.png The game shouldn't have any viruses, and has been scanned thoroughly by myself. The version on itch.io hasn't been updated in a long time, but i downloaded it and the more up to date steam version not that lo...
