Re: Protagonist, Visible or Invisible?

I find that I really like to see the main character to the side of the dialog, but not alongside the other character sprites on the screen. In the screen with others, it's a little like an out-of-body experience. In a weird way.

Had a little trouble finding the full download on sakevisual.com. Finally hacked the URL. Paid for and downloading! Anxious to give it a spin. :)

Re: Guestbook

:D

One of my friends retweeted a Christine Love post, and I started following her chronicle of watching Sailor Moon. Cracked. Me. Up.

Re: Graph's Art Commissions / Free Sketches

That's some really nice work at a good price. If I didn't already have an artist I'd be all over this!

Re: How to handle the plot of literature-based games?

I think there's value in adaptation. A familiar story may be used to create something that works as its own thing while also commenting on the original. The movies "The Thing From Outer Space" and "The Thing" are both masterpieces that reflect the fears of their times, and they a...

Re: How to handle the plot of literature-based games?

I'm doing much the same thing, adapting a public domain work into a VN. My plan is to have one path follow the original story from beginning to end. The key is that it's only one path. As the story is very much driven by the actions of the MC, there's a lot of opportunity to allow the player to take...

Re: Magical Diary (Sim/RPG) [Commercial]

It's really nice to get a growing sense of the students' activities as I play different paths. It creates a feeling of depth to the environment.

Now I have to get all the trophies. :D

Re: Magical Diary (Sim/RPG) [Commercial]

Failed out on my first try, and I have to say I was frustrated. At least I got a badge out of it. :D The characters are so good and the relationships so compelling that I have to keep trying, and I think I know what I was doing wrong so I should be okay this time. I adore the customization! I'm goin...

Re: What programs do you use to make music?

I use Logic Pro for composing, recording, and editing. It's pricey but amazing. I haven't started on the music for my game yet, but I've been quite happy using it for other music projects over the last year.

Re: Showing more than one of the same image at the same time

What if you assigned the image to two variables? Then you would be adding a second arrow instead of relocating the first one.
