Re: Summer Comes Too Late (with demonstration version)
I'm considering adding voice acting to the story once it's finished. What sort of attitude does the OELVN community generally take toward voice acting?

Re: Improvisation for a visual novel script
I would really like to participate in something like this. I think one might call such an artistic exercise an "exquisite corpse".

I know I guy everyone calls Eddie. When he got his Ph.D., some people called him "DrEd" (pronounced "dread"). Congratulations.

Re: narcissu
After playing insani.org's unvoiced translation of Narcissu , I have mixed reactions. I have no real artistic criticism to offer, only personal reactions. There are some things I really liked about this piece. It's presentation is very effective and very emotionally engaging. I really cared about th...

Summer Comes Too Late (on indefinite hiatus)
Note: I found that I lost the story and was unable to continue scripting this, so I have placed the project on an indefinite hiatus and never asked anybody to collaborate with me (as I had a sneaking suspicion I'd have to abandon this project). I have a completely written story in mind for my curren...

fullscreen mode and aspect ratios
Hello. I'm working on a visual novel using Ren'Py and I've been reading other Ren'Py works. Ren'Py is really awesome! I just have one small issue in using it right now. I've noticed that using fullscreen mode on projects with a 4:3 aspect ratio display distorted to fill the screen on my widescreen W...

Re: Windy Capital: Anthropology Studies Docudrama
I'd be willing to do some editing for you. I haven't read the visual novel yet, but I'll download it now; it looks very interesting. I haven't been very active here, but I'm working on my own visual novel, so I have some interest in the projects people post here. I don't have any special education i...

Feature suggestion: game source distributions
I think it would be neat to be able to distribute a Ren'Py game as a source package. Is there already a way to do this? If not, does anybody here agree with me?

question: splitting character name from dialog (answered)
I recently played (and thoroughly enjoyed) Starry Sky. I noticed that in that kinetic novel the name of the character speaking was displayed in a box separate from that in which the text was displayed. How was that effect achieved? I know how to customize the look of the dialog box, but I don't know...
