Finished the Hallway, being somewhat into maths & bases etc. it was not too difficult. I tried the first one but I found it harder, the first sliding puzzle got on my nerves ahah.
You make all your pictures with paint ? Courageous enough.

I wonder why so many people take it seriously, I mean, look at the face of this guy, he seems so reliable.

Re: [NaNoRenO] Letters for You [KN]
This was a soft and nice reading, the story was simple, and I especially liked the sarcastic ton, particularly coming from a girl, that's the kind of thing I'd fall for ahah. I saw some things that - I think - need to be fixed, here's the list : "This is the fourteenth today. Walked a lot today, goo...

Re: Small Demo [Recruiting All]
Hmm, that's depending on the deadline of the project. Due to the number of those I'm actually in, I'll only be able to _really_ start composing during July. Electronic/Sci-fi samples Spatial distant ambiance : http://soundcloud.com/ziassan/stellar-insight Cheery "electronic" sounding : http://soundc...

Re: Anyone want a beginner musician?
Ah, do as you wish, you can find plenty of midi of wath you want on the web also you know. You'll have some hard time at start with the soft I think, so I'll say choose LMMS because of the wiki&community, here is the "getting started" http://lmms.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/0.4:Getting_Started An...

Re: Anyone want a beginner musician?
Hmm sibelius.. it seems pretty popular around here. I don't know much about this soft but at least I know you can use VST (virtual instruments) to make it sound better : http://www.johnglossenger.com/TIPS_FOR_USING_VSTs_IN_SIBELIUS_6.htm (maybe not with the student version ?) To make it simple, you ...

Re: Anyone want a beginner musician?
Interesting, you have some particular skills (I don't think we have another Bassoonist/Flautist around here) that will make your music different, and that's an important thing to start offering his compositions. And you even have access to a recording studio. I would suggest you to try making some s...

Re: What's better: extra art/CGs, voiceovers, theme song?
When I'm playing a video game, there is a good chance that I'll be listening to other music or audio programs. Arghhhhh. (And for extra, what about a small opening ? It's a lot of work but not more than full-voice, and it can be made with help from prites and existant pictures without looking too c...

Re: What's better: extra art/CGs, voiceovers, theme song?
[written before reading the post above] Well, it seems you had already made your mind jack, even before asking here hm ; but think that many people are used to Japanese voice acting, that's really different when people are speaking your native langage, and even more in English where you have so many...

Re: What's better: extra art/CGs, voiceovers, theme song?
More work means less competition between us composers, so I'll say "title/theme song" is far better. Well if this good argument isn't enough... since the strong point of your games is already art, drown it with more art is a waste, each cg or art thing will decrease in importance because of the numb...

Re: Letters for You [KN] [2012] (Progress update/Screenshot)
Oh, using the letter is a good idea, you could even use not a color but a part of the picture as transparent background of the textbox ? Text of your game would like this be written "on a letter" hum~
(and about music, apart from the track you asked me, will you include others things ?)

Re: Letters for You [KN] [2012] (Progress update/Screenshot)
Hmm, sprites are nice, have you others expressions ? About your screen, I think probably the slighty pink of the text box is in my opinion a bit strange on this "real" color background, a more neutral ton could be better. Like I don't know, something into the belt of Sayaka and her top. Same thing f...

Re: New composer looking for inspiration
Parametric EQ ? Oh so you're already used to the frequencies division ! Parametric EQ 2 is better if you have it. Do you know that when you have many instruments, if you want them to not be all mixed in the same pot, to be easily distincts for the ear, it's possible de "allow" frequencies to each in...

Visunove and the "online visual novels" whole thing
Thinking of this from a long time, and after seeing around here some talks on this subjet, I thought it was worth speak of the online presence of visual novels. I mean, the VN which are playable online, of course. So first, the only real one I know, where you can really play online, is from a couple...

try10> If you want a free sowftare which is 'better', you can get Macaw http://code.google.com/p/macaw/ or LMMS http://lmms.sourceforge.net/ (really near from FL-Sudio IMO). I can give you some .flp to open with LMMS or a macaw file I did, to see how looks a finished track on it. You really should t...
