Eh.. I was going to reply "Wow, great painting skills, thanks for these wonderful creations" but just realized you said it was filtered photos.
Still impressive, but in another way - it looks really drawn, I wonder how you did that.

Re: What's your internet connection like?
If you have one person with a good upload speed collating everything, it might not be so bad. Then each person only has to upload small pieces. > I said that even for the "small" pieces, for instance making a track speaking with the writer, correcting the music in real time so it'd be the more fitt...

Re: What's your internet connection like?
Why this splitting file thing ? If the download is from a direct source (like http://somestudio/demo.zip), even if internet goes down you can resume the download without having to restart it. I have a slower internet than most of the people here (1Mbps DL and 0.10 upload) and really don't mind about...

Re: Tools necessary for making music?
If you read the post above it was more about the free options. For the software itself, FL-Studio has a demo but well, you can try with LMMS wich is good and free : http://lmms.sourceforge.net/download.php It works for Windows and has a nice community behind him, with even a wiki with plenty of tool...

Ahah well, hopefully Ryukishi07 didn't think like you dramspringfeald , otherwise he wouldn't have even released anything for arts reasons, and that'd have been sad~ For the thread's subjet itself, the OP asked also about backgrounds - it can works pretty well ; for instance around here Mugen is mak...

MaiMai request > http://soundcloud.com/ziassan/the-emerald-witch " Something melancholy, but mysterious, with an air of magic that is constantly hovering everywhere. A hint of sorrow too, the kind that comes with a grown adult who has been through a lot of trying and emotional times. " Request from...

Re: This is probably a dumb question about music usage
If you want to use music which isn't your/you didn't paid the use, you have to look for Creative common / royaltie free music. Often they are "Attribution" which means you just have to put the name of the composer somwhere in the credits, sometimes they can ask "non commercial works", etc etc. They ...

Re: Tools necessary for making music?
Well as you can suppose magic instruments making any track sounds pro doesn't exist. It's even possible to do pretty tracks with only FL Studio basic instruments. After, you can find free or not Virtual instruments (VST) or soundbank depending of what you want. You can easily search "free VST" on th...

Re: What's your internet connection like?
France - big cities (more than 200 000 people) have in general optic fiber, but not everybody are using it in these towns, since we have also like 7 different operator to provide internet. I guess for Paris itself most of the people have optic fiber. I live in a small village so 256ko/s is already n...

Re: What's your internet connection like?
Downloading at 256ko/s which is decent, but the main issue is the upload (5ko/s to 15ko/s) which slow me down for uploading the music, and it's only for .ogg, when it's some 40mo Wav, it means all the day uploading.

Re: Grassland Symphony [Friendship] [Fantasy, Experimental]
Oh, interesting. Interesting idea, though I even wonder if that's really better as a Visual Novel and not some little movie or something like that. Because, I mean, in the end, it will be images moving while music play. Having to click each time the musical dialogue end could break the mood also, ma...

Re: JPEG2000
Yeah sound takes often a lot of place, to save filesize be sure to compress in OGG and no more than 192kbp/s, for in-game music it's enough. Even if you heard of 256/320 everywhere most of the people can't make a difference between 192 and 320 for instance if they don't know beforehand (even 160 wou...

After completing really all the game, I'd just have something to note for a possible improvement : At first I acted thinking their was different paths for different characters (like Ian) but chose (or at least I thought I was choosing) Alex's one because of... because. Being honnest with the choices...

Re: Playing video on 6.14
Based on what PyTom just said, it seems more linked the the Graphic Processor, so the video card it self.
It would crash on the Intel chipset but not on the nvidia ones for instance.
