Re: Tips on branching

Well, in an amnesia story you don't actually have to make every choice modify the points. For instance, in Amnesia: The Dark Descent you can read all the books to learn about your past but it doesn't do anything in terms of gameplay. You can play through the whole game without reading the books. Thi...

Re: Armor Nick's art evolution thread

Alright, so I've tried a few things on paper now. These are still just sketches so I haven't even made the lineart yet, but maybe you guys can already give me some tips. I've posted them on deviantart this time because my dropbox folder is getting pretty cluttered. You don't have to fave my pics ;) ...

Re: What do you preffer on choices?

Maybe you should make the choices start out easy and then gradually make it harder to see which guy you're choosing.

Re: Armor Nick's art evolution thread

Mouse-user here. I would second the advice about using the pen tool to make your lines. With a little practice, you can get pretty fast with it. Also, if you can get SAI, the line tool for that program is much easier and more instinctive than Photoshop's. I don't know about GIMP, but I've heard it'...

Re: Any ideas for why a teacher would blackmail his student?

Not necessarily. The reason for a blackmail can be entirely faked, as long as the 'proof' is convincing enough that it poses a threat to someone's personal or business life. Like what happened in the news today with Strauss-Kahn. He was put in jail for sexually assaulting a maid and while he was fou...

Re: Any ideas for why a teacher would blackmail his student?

Or first trick the student into taking drugs and then blackmailing him with the 'proof'. Which he fabricated because who is going to believe a student denying that he took drugs when there is drugs in his blood. Of course, drugs rarely leaves a long-term mark but this is fiction ;)

Re: Visual Novel Engine in JavaScript

Here it is: http://www.nevermindthebullets.com/?fbid=XLOnNHhPzgK It was created for Microsoft's Beauty of the Web thing so it's best viewed in Internet Explorer but it should work in every modern browser. I should really get a look at html5 and make a game engine using it but I just got started with...

Re: Visual Novel Engine in JavaScript

This wasn't made with HTML5, was it?
I've seen a graphic novel (comicbook) in webpage form once, made entirely with HTML5, CSS3 and JS.

Well, it's still a fact that his 'soul' still exists. So it's still possible for them to have a relationship. I'd prefer EllieXAutumn but as always, nothing is official until word of god. (Which means "the author says so", for anyone who is not addicted to TvTropes.)

Re: How do you feel about comic relief characters?

Like Itsuki in Shuffle! Most of the time he is an incredible dick, but then
in primula's route, he pulls something incredibly badass in front of TWO kings.
I didn't really like him until he pulled that off.

Re: Armor Nick's art evolution thread

Alright, I successfully hijacked my own thread :D I really don't like double-posting but this is a major update I've been playing around with my graphics editor and I've succeeded in creating a bit of art. This is the first time ever I've done some art myself, so I need a lot of tips and such. http:...
