Okay so I really need help creating/ defining channels to play music and sound. Everywhere I looked simply states that I must make them but now how... I'm really confused on where to place everything as well and how to play the sound/ music when I have set up a channel. Also you can set up shortcuts...

^I'm not quite sure that makes any sense but basically I just want to know how to be able to stop typing in the "if" and "else" statements and rejoin the story until the next menu. Nevermind I got it, actually I amazed I found the problem- but this wasn't it. Actually i had my images previously saved on my computer and I use to copy them into the game directory, so they were shortcuts instead of pictures. Thank you though.

oh and i just noticed under type of files my pictures say "shortcut" >.> not quite sure if they should say that! o.o and yes my pictures do pop up under the launcher so that is a relief! ^.^'' at least I haven't totally messed things up.

I mean it is a stupid question but saving pictures under "game" is the same thing as the game directory right? if so then I've been saving them right...

I have been doing that and adding .jg and .png at the end of the right files... you see before I changed the extensions stuff none of my files said .ryp or whatever now ALL of them do EXCEPT for the pictures.... but since copying and pasting hasn't worked for me regularly I even went to the properti...

umm I'm not sure if it will help but... I've saved my images under downloads>otome>renpy-6.12.1>Basicstory1>game Basicstory1 being the name of my project and otome being the name of the folder I created to store ren'py. I think I've saved them in the right place but I'm a noob at this so :p

Then when I try to play it it says crazy stuff like this; 'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/script.rpy", line 15, in script e "You've created a new Ren'Py game." IOError: Couldn't find file 'fantasybg.JPG'. -- Full Traceback ---------------------------...

I just started using this today and I haven't had any problems with the dialogue... but when I tried to add images one thing after another has been going wrong! first couple of times the dialogue would still play but the screen was still black because it said I hadn't properly defined the images... ...

excuse me but i believe I'm experiencing the same problem, but rather than leaving out the extensions when I am defining the images, I would like to change the settings. Only I have no idea how to do that... Can you help? ;.;
