Re: Learning to draw/color... opinions needed please
No, you can't really see. Don't be afraid to add highlights in the hair to create more contrast. Things can still look dark without actually using dark colours.

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [100% free] [WIP]
Update ~ I finished adding Calvin, Roy and the fox to the game (meaning, their schedules are now working). That means all bachelors can now be found walking around the maps. You cannot interact with them though, except for Bill, since he's my test subject. Here's a nice screenshot where Calvin and R...

Re: Learning to draw/color... opinions needed please
Well for one her eyes have no whites, except only in the top left corner of her left eye. There's also almost no shading on the skin, which is weird because you've done a lot of shading in the hair. You should spend the same amount of dedication on the skin as well. The shading of the hair could rea...

Re: Why do characters in visual novels rarely change clothes
No one is saying it's hard. It's not. Programming it is super easy, organizing layers is easy as well - it's just that it's very, very time consuming. You spend 4 hours finishing an entire sprite, most of those are spent on the clothes. Then you'll have to spend even more time on making different cl...

Re: Little Confetti (VN,romance)
Those has got to be the creepiest chibis I've ever seen. Sure, Harvest Moon can get away with tiny feet , but yours are literally stumps. Compared to the very detailed colouring and clothing, this clashes a lot, and in the end, looks plain creepy. Good thing we won't see their feet in-game! Backgrou...

Re: Why do characters in visual novels rarely change clothes
It's because different clothes means a lot more work for the artist, not doubling the work, not even tripling the work, but you can pretty much expect ten-fold the work if you want a 'realistic' portrayal of characters wearing different clothes. Heck, my game is about making clothes, and the reason ...

Re: Idea bouncing
The icecaps would melt, rising the sea level, flooding most cities around the world. The ocean absorbs much more heat, and thus it gets even warmer. Humans and animals who can't take the heat would die off, going extinct. Cave creatures would flourish, since they hide from the heat, so you'll get a ...

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [100% free] [WIP]
@Venus: haha, yeah the sound effects do add to the feeling of nostalgia, huh? ;) Just a small update to announce Tailor Tales's two year anniversary (which was actually yesterday, *cough*). Though the first half year was made in a different style, the next year I stopped working on it ... and now fo...

Re: (P)lanets!
"If I ever see you alone with another guy again, I'd probably kill him" is not what I'd consider romantic - perhaps I'd categorize it as possessive and creepy, but not cute or sweet. I'd believe that to be romanticizing abuse. Using uncountably many (sexist, as mentioned before) tropes is one thing...

Re: Fanservice for women?
Whenever a shirtless scene comes up I go "...". I'm quick to skip the parts if the guy is all muscular as well - I'm not a fan of muscular types, or extremely thin types either. I like the normal types, the ones that aren't 'toned' at all. The only time I've seen a shirtless scene of a guy who wasn'...

Re: Reviews and Critiques?
@papillon: I disagree, I've been told my grammar and spelling needs work several times myself, and it never once helped me out. Then someone came along and pointed out exactly what I did wrong, as I kept making the same mistake, and finally I started doing it right. For example, I didn't know ellips...

God, do I know how that is. I'm getting stuff done now, too, though. Would far rather have more money. Ah yes, money would be lovely to have. Luckily I can sell my skills as a graphic designer to get a bit of cash, but not that much. Anyways, here's a video showing you some random stuff I've ...

Re: Reviews and Critiques?
A good review also includes what went wrong. I can enjoy something immensely, but I can acknowledge that there are faults. Though if you're only pointing out its faults, that doesn't really help the creator improve. If you also tell them how they can fix it/improve, this will help a lot more. Instea...

Re: (P)lanets!
I managed to get Kaius, Lucan, and Ryuu's ending, so here's my feedback: I enjoyed playing it, I really did. Kaius's path was the most fun, with Ryuu coming second, and with Lucan being extremely bland and boring (and I love the sweet, shy kind of guys!). I actually preferred the art of the demo tha...
