Re: English is really funny

English is easy to learn for those whose first language is also a Germanic language, which there's a lot of in Europe, so yeah, it's not 'the hardest language to learn' when it all depends on what your first language is. I'm Dutch, and I find English very easy. I haven't been taught any rules whatso...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

One big breasted girl is enough, but when the entire cast is like that, then it just becomes repulsive. However I believe anyone can like a muscular guy... Haven't you seen the parents that spoil the crap out of their sons and leave their daughters in the dirt because they're not as strong? :P haha...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

That's exactly what bothers a lot of women who play BxG novels. Girls aren't an alien species that behave completely different from the way you do. Because you have no idea that we're pretty much the same, you start to project how you think a girl should act, or behave, and that bothers a lot of gir...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

@Fawn: I hope you weren't serious with that sort of deduction  especially since the opposite is true; I got bullied with people calling me ugly everyday. Though I did manage to meet my boyfriend through a MMORPG we both really liked. Regardless, my argument was to counter Lemma's by saying he i...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

It's sad, but a girl doing a "guy thing" (like playing a violent video game) is "cool", whereas a guy doing a "girl thing" (like wearing a dress) gets mocked. Really? Like the opposite has never occurred? "Why are you looking at that game? That's for boys! Put it down!" or; "Seriously? You're a gir...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

You know, this discussion reminds me of an article I read (sorry, I can't seem to find it anymore) that said boys read less than girls, and if they do manage to read a book, they would read one that has a male protagonist. Very few who read books will not read them if it has a female protagonist. Th...

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [100% free] [WIP]

@broken_angel: yeah Harvest Moon type games don't work very well in the VN medium, they work best if you're free to roam around :3 @icebluehost: thanks! But don't wish you could be as hardworking and motivated like I am, because let me tell you; I'm a huge procrastinator! In fact, I lost motivation ...

Re: Wacom Inkling

Obviously mugenjohncel, you've never worked with programs that 'vectorize' bitmaps. It's horrible I tell you, it can never ever be accurate, unless you've got a really high resolution (at least 300 dpi) with VERY clean lines - and even then it can turn out really wrong. This is why graphic designers...

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [100% free] [WIP]

I'd like to thank everyone who joined in the beta. The bugs that have been found are not fixed, and I even found a few of them myself as I was fixing other bugs. As for what I've been doing, I'm working on getting all of the bachelors to follow a schedule every day (so that they're in different maps...

Re: A quick question for posters

Where ever there's romance, regardless of the media, there's gonna be lots and lots of girls. Fanfiction is dominated by girls, and the amount of stories tagged with the genre 'romance' is staggering. The most vocal Harvest Moon fans are girls who love the romance part of it (plus it's one of the fe...

Re: Wacom Inkling

Wow, that looks really convenient! I don't use tablets because I just can't get used to them, and because there is a slight lag from pressing down the pen, to transferring to the computer - that part annoys me. Just having it trace your pen instead is much better, and it even saves it as a vector wh...

Re: [WIP] Line of Heroes [Arabian Nights Fantasy, GxB]

I recommend changing the line-art for Lucios into a lighter brown than his skin colour. This will eliminate the 'screen isn't bright enough to see the lines in his face' problem.

Re: [WIP] (P)lanets -GxB [w/DEMO!]

@teacup: aha, I see. Too bad, since I just played the demo and I got used to the art, it'll be strange to see them differently next time. But I'm sure that art can only get better, right?

Good luck with testing!

Re: [WIP] (P)lanets -GxB [w/DEMO!]

I just played the demo, and after finishing it, I definitely want to keep on playing. I'm surprised you've already finished it, great to hear after two years all that hard work paid off! There were a few typos in the text, but I assume since it's a demo you probably already fixed those. Question tho...
