I've recently become enamoured with the idea of telling a story using illustrated diary entries.
Like, you play a detective who finds some pages from ripped up diaries and have to find out what happened. Or something like that.

Re: Music in VNs-Does Anyone Find It Too Distracting?
To be perfectly honest, it's much much more distracting if there's no music. So much so that if I come across one without any, unless there's a very good reason for there not being any, I'll drop it like a hot potato. It's like playing a VN with no art.

*Raises hand*
I still haven't finished the silmarillion yet. T_T
I've been meaning to, but there's just so many books I've been meaning to read lately.

Pretty much anything that catches my inerest, but my favourite genres are Classical and Folk-Metal.

Re: Do you make GxB, BxG, BxB, or GxG? Why?
Err... None of the above. Most of my story ideas would be told in 3rd person, with focus on both sides of the relationship. And half of them don't have romance at all. I suppose my current story could be considered BxG, since there is romance and it has male protagonist, but it's an action story so ...

Two words: Hell yes.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this.

Re: Are you a Weeaboo?
Let's look at this logically Weeaboo ~= Stereotype Stereotype != Person Me ~= Person . . . Me != Weeaboo Simple. I find it kind of mean and pointless to make fun of weeaboos. Sure, they can be annoying, but why does it really matter in the end? Let them have their fun, they'll grow out of it eventua...

Re: Suggestions for recruiters
One more thing that ought to be common sense, but...
Show the people you're trying to recruit what you can do. Don't say "I can do the writing," show them that you can do the writing. No-one will hire someone with no portfolio, so why do you expect someone to work for you if you have none.

So the day didn't go quite as well as I was hoping, I only managed to get 4 requests done. I'll do my best to work on the others ASAP.

Yet another sketch request topic [CLOSED]
Since I haven't been doing very much drawing lately, and I have a day off today, I've decided to do a drawing blitz to get back into the swing of things. (Although I won't be able to upload anything 'till tomorrow since I don't have a scanner where I am)

I know you can create the sound of wings flapping with an umbrella, but that's about all.

Re: VNs slowly gaining Western popularity?
Why are casual gamers different? They are exactly the type of audience I think we should be looking at. Going after hard core gamers is pointless. They have their games and they will stubbornly stick by them. However there is a great need for story driven games and the gamer market is only expandin...

Re: Fangames
It depends as well on what you're making a fanwork of. Some of creators will give official statements on how they feel about fanworks. Just as an example, Zun has said that any Touhou fanworks are A-OK as long as they don't use any resources from the original games, don't reveal the endings to the g...

Re: What software is out there for making VNs or VN-like gam
I'd recommend KiriKiri/KAG, but the lack of english documentation is a bit of a barrier. If you want to emulate some of the JVNs out there, it's very good though. (And it has NVL mode as default which is awesome)
