The art is very nice and dynamic, and the interface is light , non obtrusive. Looking great.

Re: Battle Engine - Alpha 5 release, downloads in first post

If it's something you want, it should be easy enough to add those parameters and have them work the same way as for the iso square grids; I'll add it to my to-do list. Thank you, no rush though I'm still working on my sprites, but it just occured to me that it could look more "natural" to have iso ...

Re: Battle Engine - Alpha 5 release, downloads in first post

Is it possible to have an iso hex grid for diagonal movement ? I'm asking because I didn't see it in alpha 5 but i don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Or is it just a regular iso square grid with diagonal movement enabled and a skewed hex grid drawn on top ?

Even more customization ! Yay !
I love these chibi fan arts you got, the Emmitt one is just so cute

Reminds me I still have to draw keyboards and color Natasha. Keep it up Aleema, it's looking great.

Do you want to include a load button or a volume slider on the main menu? Now, you'll easily be able to.
So my guess is if you can include one slider you can include many. =)

Re: Battle Engine - Alpha 4 release, downloads in first post

First presentable dummy 'battle' (just dummy enemies). Animation is very jerky and I could use the 2X faster Ren'Py right now. Then again there were just too few frames in the prerenders to begin with. I think it would also make sense to bind the panning controls to the arrow keys so won't accident...

Re: Battle Engine - Alpha 4 release, downloads in first post

blakjak -> I meant something much more simpler such as 1. Pick the colors 2. Render out the spritesheet 3. Whola! Now use in your RPGMaker games. I can't remember which website, but it was that basic. I'm not sure if there was an equivalent for isometric walkcycles. Oh ok =), then no, I haven't fou...

Re: do we need a Ren'py maker with a user-friendly interface

I've tried other engines with a GUI and though it's fun and simple at first, it becomes very messy as your game starts to grow. On top of that, like Jack said, as soon as you want to customize, you'll have to start coding in them, so you'll have to mix both, and sometimes learn how to code in a lang...
