o_O I need to spend some time trying to get my room stuff to show the right sprite at the right time of the day and randomize it a little..
Maybe Wednesday or Thursday night I'll finally get some time to work on this...

I like short games. Or maybe a game with a lot of short episodes.
If a game is long, I feel overwhelmed and eventually give up.

All you really need is a lot of good pictures. If the pictures are pretty enough, the player will be too stunned by the pictures to care about the story part.
As long as it's a reasonable story, people will play it for the pretty pictures.

The colors are way too strong. The way eyes work in humans, the part of the eye that detects colors works best in bright environments, and the part that can only see a color's value works best in dark environments.
