I think the new proposed scheme looks good, although a writing forum could be useful too (mainly because of the points that Jake has made above this post).

Well, now teh flame war's over (sorry, boss) I can actually say something useful. Looking at the illustrations in the blog, character designs look well done and have a certain original look to them. Downloading the beta to have a closer look, and I'll return with thoughts after I've had a blast.

I can recommend a few good VST synthesizers for creating awesome spatial textures that you can use. First one is Native Instruments Absynth 4. Second one is Terratec Komplexer.
