Re: <WIP> Shaeyu jun Ikkshaelun

Thanks! I've actually been trying to do that ever since I was... Twelve maybe? xD I made two pages of comic with a similar story line, except they were both goddesses and the moon spirit was trapped in a sword. And so the heroine did all sorts of badassery with the moon spirit sword to find her body...

Re: (P)lanets 2 - the life of happiness has started! [otome]

@A@ I'm not even finished with the first one, but now I'm starting to squee over the guys in this one too~! And... The redhead... I'm a redhead, so I hate redheaded boys in real life, but I just can't resist them in anime! The exact same situation with glasses, too. xD You've put me in an awkward po...

<WIP> Shaeyu jun Ikkshaelun

Thought I'd make a thread for my up-and-coming VN. ;] I'm a bumbling fool, and this is my first attempt at anything remotely like this. The work will probably be slow going... Basic plot: You play as a girl (I'm thinking of making a mostly identical boy version to go along with it, after I'm done wi...

Re: Display based on non-fixed variable

Display based on non-fixed variable <Solved, thanks!>

I'm having a bit of trouble with a counter type variable. On my morality and honesty counts, I'm doing a quick test to see if they work. However, I don't know how to make it do something based on X and up, rather than just X and X only. Basically, I'm choosing every 'bad' option I can, but when I ge...

Re: Problem with variables based on user input

Let's see, I actually have two variables, 'ruffian' and 'saint'. The 'bad' option adds 1 to the ruffian value, and the 'good' option adds +1 to the saint value. But, would using a count like yours where they're both one and the same be better..? It certainly sounds simpler. Here's my code for one of...

Problem with variables based on user input

So, in my game I'm trying to make a sort of 'morality' system, based mainly off of lying and manners. So, in menu choices I'll have the 'good' option, a neutral option, and the 'bad' option, with +1 in that field if you choose it. However, it seems that even when you don't choose the option the poin...

Re: Need more help, please! (Choice recognition)

Hm. I actually hadn't thought of a lying 'meter' like that. I think that could work out well, I could just add the number of times they'd lied and every time the character interacts with a NPC that's aware of the lies I could check against the variable for the proper reactions. Thanks, everyone! If ...

Re: Need more help, please! (Choice recognition)

@ Rewritten Ennui : I know how to do a menu, lol. I'm just trying to do a background choice recognition. Basically, the character is asked how they got to where they are, and have the choice to either distrust the person they just met and lie (Pft, I totally know where I'm going.) then lie again (I ...

Need more help, please! (Choice recognition)

How do I get the program to test against a menu choice? As in, my player has an option to choose to lie or to tell the truth. The person they are lying to/being honest to will know what they're doing, and will either admonish them or praise them based on their choice. I've tried attaching variables ...

Re: Coding Newb, need help mainly with User Input

Ahhh. Thanks, Camille.

So [] are only needed in the %[f]s? Or anything else that would call for () like that?

Re: Coding Newb, need help mainly with User Input

Yeah, I replaced it with my variable name, f. I've made sure that all of the labels/names were changed... Hm. Do you know if there's an alternate code for that?

EDIT:

Here's a screen shot. The dialogue label changes, but she can't even say her own name.

Re: Coding Newb, need help mainly with User Input

Okay, it's working well now, but the %(u)s thing won't work. It'll just put that instead of the name, maybe I'm not declaring the variable right?
