Re: Aether Skies [Dark Fantasy/Mystery/Dual Protagonist] [Demo]

Hello! Just popping in to share a quick update for Aether Skies. A whole lot of project development happened over the holiday season. 1) We’ve reached 40,000 words and 100 choices and counting. 2) The art for the new sprites is finishing up nicely and the new CG should be done soon. 3) I removed the...

Re: Nonfictional VNs

There was once used by a teacher to help her English language learners in Japan, but that was a fictional story. I’ve used it to study and make test for my Art History class since you can use the menu and display images, I even tallied my points and scored myself until I got 100s. As for autobiograp...

Re: After Effects Movies settings for renpy

Thanks so much Dovakitteh. It's actually the most input I've gotten on it whenever I've asked. I've been trying to learn more about using video editing, but specific for renpy seem a little harder to research.

Re: Constant User Interface?

No problem with %s you can use more then one by seperating them with a comma. They can even be used for the folder name where the image is found. So essentially this add "%s%s.png"%(character, photo) Example eileen1.png add "images/%s/%s.png"%(character, photo) It's look for the folder "eileen" and ...

Using %s to generate Images for sprites and more

I wanted to share my own experience with using %s to create custom overlays and character creation. For those who don't know %s is used for formatting strings in python. It acts as a placeholder for a string, and their associated values are passed in via a tuple using the % operator. This means you ...

Re: Constant User Interface?

So you want to show an image based on a variable? Something like this for a calander? default month = 1 default day = 1 screen overlay: frame: hbox: add "month%s.png"%(month) add "day%s.png"%(day) This uses the %s as a placeholder for the value of month and day. You would then have an image of the t...

After Effects Movies settings for renpy

For those who use After Effects to work with video do you have specific settings that you render your videos? QuickTime seems to be the only format I can get to work with a mask, but other then that there's a lot to choose form and little guidance. Any suggestions for it?

Re: Side Image Left/Right

I actually ended up changing the beginning from this image side eir_small = LiveComposite( To image side eir_small: xalign 1.0 yalign 1.0 LiveComposite(#continued with long code here And it ended up working perfectly. I didn't need to mess with my screens. Just changed the line to take away the xali...

Re: Side Image Left/Right

Not working for me. I've tried writing out the code in an Image() fully and it returns an error that it expects a graphic. The other way I thought to write from you example was this: define e = Character("Erin", image=Image(erin_small, yalign=1.0, xalign=1.0)) However, it returns the error: NameErro...

Side Image Left/Right

I recently converted my side images to LiveComposite() and ConditionSwitch(). My original code used Image() and had an xalign set based on the sprite. Some of my sprites were set to the left and other's to the right. I don't know how to add an xalign to LiveComposite or ConditionSwitch and I realize...

Multiple Dialogue

So, I'm confused. When I use block1_multiple2_window it seems not to change anything. Am I using the code right? define e = Character("Eileen", block1_multiple2_window_yalign=0.66) define l = Character("Lucy", block2_multiple2_window_yalign=1.0) define o = Character("Olivia", window_yalign=1.0) labe...
