Maybe it's because I'm just a sucker for different looking styles, but those newer models (twin tails) are definitely my favorite by a long shot. The older ones wig me out a little. Something in the faces looks kind of...stiff? And I'm not digging the more realistic hair. I very much prefer the cart...

Okay, now that I have context... I'm still against a number as large as 100 for a single game---even episodic. I think it would really depend on the context. So, without any context, I have to say that just seems like way too much, and, honestly, pretty pointless. If 70% of the characters are just going to die, what's the point of even introducing them? If they're dying just for the sake of having character'...

I don't like second person at all. I don't play games to be myself, or base customisable protagonists on myself, I see the protagonist as a character I'm creating and manipulating, and it makes me uncomfortable when the game essentially turns around and tells me that actually the protagonist is me....

If it's not a fully voiced game, I generally prefer some kind of "speech" sound. Without it, everything feels a lot more dead somehow. Even the really "annoying" kind of sounds like you would find in Banjo-Kazooie or something. It's not make or break though, and if there aren't text blips, text box ...

Depends on the game, for me, but I am mainly a marathoner and tend to do entire routes (or half, if it's super long) in single sittings.

Then there's stuff like Zero Escape, where I either play until I can't stand it, or play for 10 minutes and stop to think about what I just saw.

Body language can tell a lot at first glance, I think, and I've always been partial to pose changes because it makes the characters feel a little more alive. Even if it's a minor change, like an arm going from rest to at the hip or something. That being said, I don't really mind static art that much...
