Re: What is your religion?
I'm agnostic, but I would like to pose an open question: why or how, exactly, does someone choose to follow a certain religion? That's a good question. There are many reasons why people choose to follow certain religions. Some people follow religion to find spiritual meaning in their lives, some us...

This is probably the most genuine-looking spambot message I have ever seen out of all the years I've ever been on the 'net

Re: Tips to writing psychological horror?
Ah yes, I also gotta agree with the unseen enemy thing. I have also seen an interesting work where the villain is revealed early on to be just an ordinary human, but he was very manipulative due to his way with words and how he was prying into people's lives. Isn't there any other input you could po...

Re: Tips to writing psychological horror?
I currently don't have many good tips to offer since I'm practicing writing this genre myself (Thus I would have no idea if I'm successful or not since my work has yet to be shown to anyone), but I guess one of the most important things to do (IMO) is avoid adding anything supernatural. Psychologica...

Re: What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to pretty much anything that sounds good, but my favorite genres are: Rock, metal, classical, and jazz. I also listen to videogame OSTs and anime music once in awhile as well.

Re: Writing, Art, Or Coding...What Do You Find the Hardest?
Hmmmm. I can't decide between art and music. Though I'm decent as an artist, I really blow it when it comes to drawing on a tablet (To me it is actually different than drawing on paper). For music, I'm just not gifted enough to play any instrument other than a recorder :( . I can hum a catchy tune e...

Re: Teams and Hopes and Bailing and RAGE
No, at least not in my perspective. You're not obligated to keep them in the game in the first place, especially since they're not contributing and they aren't even trying. The only reason you would still keep them in there would be because you want to model those characters after them. If you decid...

Re: Teams and Hopes and Bailing and RAGE
I have a new question: I'm tempted to scrap the idea of using my friends as characters and just make my own. It would be much simpler since I wouldn't have to try to guess how they would react to situations and what they're really like. But it also feels a bit spiteful if I would do that... Where's...

Re: Teams and Hopes and Bailing and RAGE
That's one example of it. The Why is basically your reason for wanting to complete the game. It could be anything, like you want to get it done so that millions of people can enjoy it, or because you want to show the world what you can do. Not only is it motivational fuel, but like I said. If the Wh...

This sounds embarrassing, but how do I view the videos on that website? I clicked on the video thumbnails in that link, but I can't figure out where to go from there @_@ .

Re: Teams and Hopes and Bailing and RAGE
It's really hard, if not impossible, to get your friends back into the game once they've already decided to drop out. The problem here is that there wasn't really anything to keep them excited once they got into it, and that's something really important because it serves as motivation fuel. Exciteme...

Re: Visual Novel Let's Plays
1) How do you feel about people (potentially) doing an LP of a game you've made? Personally I'd be flattered. Considering it's a one man project, I don't expect it to attract a lot of attention in the first place. I mean, it's just something I'm doing because I wanted to tell a story. If someone bo...

Re: Just being curious...
The way I do it, I create a faceless and no name character whom I call "n" (without the quotes), which represents the narrator, and define it as a NVL type character. I then define every other character as ADV (I do this just to make sure it actually goes into ADV mode). So then whenever it reaches ...

Re: Just being curious...
@Gambit74 Sounds interesting. If I recall right, game called 11eyes Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shojo, used same style. Again, being curious, how it is done? I mean, "switching" between modes? Never heard of 11eyes, but I actually borrowed the idea from Kara no Shoujo :P . It's also seen in 999 too...
