Maybe RedSlash means, a transparent image that is placed over a faceless "model" to change the expression of a character while using less disk space at the same time. Sorry if that's what you just answered, but it didn't seem like it to me. :?

The demo (run_game.exe) IS the same program that your game is going to be. n.n; All you have to do is edit the script inside the game folder. :D You're probably opening a different program.

You can save them as a .PNG with transparency. It is an image file. You will need software that saves it with transparency. I can't think of any nice programs off the top of my head. Only http://www.irfanview.com/ which will allow you to paste your image into it and save the image with transparency ...
