Re: Toire No Hanako (A story about fear)
filtered poser render is my aesthetic. How long would you estimate the average game is? Well, the images were not created in Poser and only a few background images were filtered (using the freeware Fotosketcher). I used good old DAZ Studio 3.0 for the images. They're not filtered, I simply used non...

Re: Can't get Dialogue Box to appear on screen.
Take a look at the screen say(who, what) section in screens.rpy. Check the xalign and yalign values. The yalign value is defined in gui.rpy (yes, styles in the new GUI are a mess). Generally the yalign value is defined this way: define gui.textbox_yalign = 0.99 The xalign value is generally 0.5 Your...

Re: Marking Thread Solved
How do you mark a thread as being Solved? Do you just change the Topic title manually to say "[Solved]"? Yes. Not sure if there is a Forum reputation mechanism, but I think it is nice when you can give Kudos other than just saying Thanks. Personally, I'm happy when I can help someone. I don't even ...

Re: Try to load game but get "uncaught exception"
Normally, you won't find the _menu label in your scripts because that's a Ren'Py internal reserved name. We cannot use names starting with 00 or a single underscore, because they're reserved names. BTW check that you haven't used reserved names for any label or variable you may have created. File "C...

Re: Try to load game but get "uncaught exception"
A common cause to this error is having duplicate labels in your script (two or more labels with the same name) or two copies of the same script in your game folder. Indentation errors can also trigger that error.

Hi, SpotDigital. The link the previous poster gave you is part of the Welcome! section of this forum where you can find some useful information for new members. Hmm, I tried uploading an image using the good old BBCode image tags: [IMG]your link here[/IMG] But that gave me an error message saying th...

Because I'm not a programmer, I have no idea about what could be happening :( . But I've found some threads started by people facing the same problem. Maybe they could help you :) . https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42496 https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15606 https:...

Re: Realistic car sway/bounce?
In one of my old and unreleased projects, I've used a similar transform trying to suggest the sensation of being inside a moving car. transform car_moving: ease 0.1 xoffset -1 yoffset 2 ease 0.1 xoffset 0 yoffset 0 ease 0.1 xoffset 1 yoffset -2 ease 0.1 xoffset 0 yoffset 0 repeat Maybe the main diff...

Re: The Other Question
Thank you for the feedback. Of course, I'm counting on your proofreading, when you have the time. As you can see in the rolling credits, the proofreading was made by "no one". At that time, I couldn't find any native English speaker to help me. I had great fun working on that story. The on...

Re: Can you integrate Lua code in Ren'py scripts?
Just for the record: "that Lua thing" is an outstanding scripting language used in many games like "Hungry Birds". Robin4000's question is really interesting. Facepalm! Of course, you know, I meant ANGRY Birds. But I guess most people here know that English is not my language. Oh my...
