Re: Plot Generator
Oh boy, that's all so random: The story starts when your protagonist tries to return a lost object. Another character is a martial artist who has a collection of photos of your protagonist. I guess many of those ideas make it in fact more difficult to write a compelling story. But I do lik...

Re: Please tell me about your country and town/city
I just wanted to point out that, if you did not realize that yet, Germans tend to have some kind of inferiority complex about their country since the last war and are a people that is generally really fast to criticise their circumstances. So you should really take what Germans say about their count...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@Minnfae: I think the right shoulder (from the viewer's perspective) is too short compared to the other one. Also, the wrinkles under the eyes look more like she didn't sleep for days than being old. I guess wrinkles would rather fit at the outer side of the eyes, between the eyebrows, on the forehe...

Re: Can "borrowing" assets be justified?
I don't think that's ok. I mean, I do not judge people for downloading some MP3s for their own personal use or something, but taking the creations of others against their will and making something of your own out of it without even modifying the things - that's just bad. Just imagine how you'd feel ...

Re: WebStory Engine - A Visual Novel Engine for the Web
Today I completed the language reference. All elements are now documented here: http://webstoryengine.org/language:elements Oh yes, there's also some kind of logo now. Nothing fancy but something that can be recognized at least. @Veniae: Thanks. Be sure to post it here when you made anything with th...

The art is really amazing. And I mean like... REALLY amazing. :O I love the style. The protagonist looks really cute.
Mad Scientist Club? Haha, that's another + easily. Sounds like something I would put into my stories.
Will it be available for Linux? I sure hope so.

Re: WebStory Engine - A Visual Novel Engine for the Web
@Bane Reiko: Thanks, I appreciate it. Actually, I already have the plan in my backlog to maybe write some kind of native container app for WebStories, so that you can (install? and) play them outside of the browser. I am not yet sure how much work that would be, but I guess it's pretty doable. And s...

Re: Locked-In [mystery, drama] - 100% - FINISHED
I think this game is really well made. The style is pretty interesting. It doesn't have this "just another VN" feeling to it, but it's kind of unique in a way. I like the idea of having an infamous or not very likable character as the protagonist. Also, I think it was rather interesting that the pro...

Re: Worst/Creative Places to Be Trapped?
@DeeKay:
Well, maybe Stargate Universe? There's an episode where they discover a deserted space ship where some of the original alien crew is still there. But as far as I can remember they haven't been trapped there.

Re: Worst/Creative Places to Be Trapped?
How about being trapped on a deserted alien space ship after the crew's own space ship has been destroyed? That could be as creepy as you wanted it to be and maybe the ship isn't as deserted as the crew thought it was? And how do they get that thing to fly anyway? Will they ever get away from there?...

Re: The Floating Isles - VN [High Fantasy][BxG][BxB]
Wow, that looks seriously awesome. I like your art! I like floating isles as well, but I do think the idea is a bit like beating a dead horse, having been used in so many fictional works. The twist with the character being from ancient times could be quite interesting. Could you tell us a little bit...

Re: WebStory Engine - A Visual Novel Engine for the Web
@Dim Sum: I just released an updated version, 0.2.1 BETA, where the Opera bug is fixed and the buttons now have text. The buttons there still look a bit ugly compared to other browsers, but since we are talking about a web technology here it would be pretty easy to use CSS to style them to look the ...

Re: WebStory Engine - A Visual Novel Engine for the Web
@sake-bento & DeeKay: Thanks, appreciate it. I hope to see some games made with it soon. :D @DeeKay: Sure, you could use it as some kind of advanced ad or demo for your games. I tried to port Moonlight Walks to the engine and it worked pretty well. I could replicate the timing and stuff rather accur...
