I think it's mostly because letters like "a" or "o", which are usually hollow in the middle, are filled in making it all muddy. Fixing that along with the light shadow effect would do wonders.

The story seems intriguing and the NVL screen is beautiful! I agree that the quick menus need to have some sort of cast put onto them.

I'm with the others who know the figgy pudding verse, born and raised in the US of A. I'm not sure it's of any use for what you're going for, but that's the only well-know Christmas song that comes to mind related to food for me. The rest is wishing for snow, Jesus, and or Santa Claus related.

I'm back into gamedev, happy, and healthy (ish) for once! School is going well and I just got hired for another writing job! Finishing my GUI commissions soon as well.
