@Tempus - Somewhat ironic that you tell her not look into productivity tools and then you tell her to use some. :p Yeah, there is a bit of irony there that I was aware of when posting. My advice would be to avoid techniques and start working on the game right away. The problem with all techniques is that they are not work. By browsing techniques you're in effect saying "this is how efficiently I would be working if I were working" ... instead of actually working. Here's your steps...
