Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation

your kite flyer is super cute!
Thank you :)
"Hair" inspired me to draw something I had in mind since a while now.
That's pretty!

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation

Sure :D (though I really don't mind another week of high school if you'd like that?)
Playing with the wind

By the way there's nothing wrong with only 1 or 2 persons doing a theme, as long as there's a theme every week there's a chance for more people joining.

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation

It's still a whole day left (as someone who does things at the last moment I feel it's a bit discouraging to assume that no one's going to post) I actually also think it's better to change the theme in case it wasn't inspiring enough (we don't know maybe people just didn't have time this week but st...

Re: Giving away source files?

What Kia said. Two other things to consider 1. selling stuff like that is actually not that easy so even if they did something like that chances are high that they won't make a lot / lose money on that. 2. they actually commisioned you rather than just download something from the Internet (and there...

Re: Should we be encouraging?

The fact that the commissioner doesn't have commercial rights means just that they can't use that work for commercial purposes, whether an artist can or cannot use that work in any way has nothing to do with it (the opposite is also true - getting commercial rights does not necessarily mean exclusiv...

Re: Should we be encouraging?

Fanart commission legality is a whole other kettle of fish that probably shouldn't be gone into in this thread. There's no single standard solid answer, it's complicated. Alright, what's with the first question? (as it's obviously much more interesting to me as a commissioner and is linked to what ...

Re: Should we be encouraging?

Like Razz said, it is! But don't the commisioners have rights to their original characters? *I'm not talking about using the images for the artists portfolio* That also said, what about fanart commissions? (an artist does fanart for some characters and sells prints / other merchandise with it, can ...

Re: Should we be encouraging?

The creator (you) retain the rights and can use it for whatever they deem convenient.
Is that really a default situation? I doubt any client will be happy to know you sold their commisioned work to other people.

Re: Because We're Here [DEMO RELEASED] [GxB] [War] [Dark Com

That was a very impressive demo (including length-wise - now I'm curious how long the final game will be?) I liked the art, I have to agree with other people here that cartoony expressions don't quite fit some of the scenes but I still liked it, the CGs are very nice as well. I'm glad that you're co...
