Re: ~(DEMO!)~ Seven Kingdoms [GxB/G] [Fantasy, Rom, Politics

I didn't expect to enjoy the demo as much as I did (now I wonder why because the setting and the idea behind it, it's like my dream game) What I especially liked Hamin was as much fun as I hoped him to be and princess Ana is just too cute! Unlike a certain other game failing all the checks doesn't m...

Re: Perceptions of the Dead - [NanoReno15] [Horror][Action]

The art is great, the ghosts look very cool and (for whatever reason) I really liked Tyrone's eye color. The story did feel unfinished but I was really enjoying it (even though I'm not into horror) until it sudddenly ended, well, guess I'll have to wait till the next game.

Re: Sunrise | A Dieselpunk Fairy Tale (GxB, Fantasy)[NaNoRen

I really liked the art, especiall Sofia (so pretty!) and the brothers, the backgrounds worked quite well (animated and non-animated planes are always good :)), the only thing that bothered me were the outlines of the sprites that created a weird effect whenever expressions (great job with the expres...

Re: NaNoRenO Games List as of 2015

I'm confused, is it supposed to have unfinished games? (I don't think Orcs dating sim or Creatures of the Night, for example, are finished?)

Re: Who runs VN Review sites?

I haven't played that many Japanese VNs but from what I see the quality difference is pretty much obvious, especially when it comes to visuals (that doesn't mean any Japanese game is better than any English one). I'm yet to see animated sprites like the ones in Ace Attorney in any English VN. I'd re...

Re: WANTED: Dragon [GXB, NanoRenO15]

I don't quite agree with this ending being not-so-great, it actually is my favourite ending. While Chrysandra's situation is quite different I feel different endings don't change much in terms of character relationships - yes, meaning to me both Balrung's endings are bad, there's just not enough tim...

Re: In Real Need of a NanoRenO Artist!!

If you won't find anyone in time for Nanoreno you can always use Creative Commons material, there're some pretty good sprites available.

Re: GUI and textbox

A new addition to this thread of randomness - SPRITES - the set is a bit weird but if you're going to use them feel free to request additional characters. As well as additional expressions (pretty much non-existent as of now). https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/15595/6424289.8/0_1147b0_d31cda39_L.png h...

Re: A less boring Dating Sim Formula?

Personally, I am a fan of stat-raising, here are some things that I feel add to the game experience: 1. The activities you choose from are fun / meaningful on their own. Good examples: Going to classes in Magical Diary to see what weird spell you're going to learn this time - and because learning ma...

Re: Why can't I finish my game?

• No one does any work
solution: Do they know EXACTLY what you expect them to do?
• Team members drift away
solution: Keep in weekly contact with your team.
So what do you suggest if these two don't work (you have a plan, agreed on deadlines, contact them on a regular basis and... nothing)?

Re: Choosing Characters Past Instead of Present...

When I see choices like that in games (which sometimes happens) I always feel like the game if asking me something I can't possibly know and that annoys me ("you tell me, that's your character not mine!" - that also goes for character reactions like when they ask you "How was your date with X?"), ma...

Re: Cheap Labor: When People Undersell Themselves

How do you know what a "fair" price is? To me art is no different than anything else - if several stores are selling the same thing for different prices you go to the cheaper one, that's not being disrespectful, that's common sense. Getting money is "not a magical skill" all commissioners have, they...
