If I understand your question correctly, I believe your problem is lineart with shaky lines? I know people would tell you to get a tablet to get that sorted out, but since you seem to be reluctant to by one as it's just for hobby... I'd say, go draw with a mouse. Drawing with a mouse is not impossib...
