Re: Last game you played?
GTA IV: The Lost and Damned. Pretty cool story about a biker gang, I liked it WAY MORE than the vanilla game.

Re: Need advice on specific plot elements
I agree with both OokamiKasumi and Haze. Also, I've actually seen the 2nd scenario in some visual novels (which I won't mention because giant spoilers). Now, with that said... if you want the player and the character to be different, and you want to give the player a supernatural item to "set the mo...

Re: How do you feel about the protagonist dying?
I think the main character dying in a visual novel is just like the main character dying in any other media. As long as makes sense, solves the story, etc. Should be fine.

Re: Good Endings, Bad Endings, True Endings, False Endings
I also think categorizing endings is good, just for the comfortability. BUT clasifying them in "Good/Bad/etc" is... pretty stupid, also for reasons stated in this thread. I think the idea of a True/Golden Ending is good ONLY if the story has GOOD reasons for it. I'm thinking about two examples, 999 ...

Re: Truefaiterman's ugly paintings, enjoy!
Hey, sorry for taking so long, I'm afraid I've been a little bussy. I believe it says this because you're trying to turn an url (which, turns into a dA page) into an image, which you can't do. You were right, I did it wrong. Unfortunately, the pictures are too big, so I can't put them in here like t...

Re: Art Styles
I don't like your average-generic-manganime-style, since it's... well, that. The 3D may be great, but I have a fear that most of 3D works I've are more like "Default Poser model with a few ripped clothes and broken anatomy because WRONG". If not that... a soulless, zombie anime girl copied and paste...

Re: What was your first story?
My first story... is... Ugh... Pokemon-Evangelion kind of crossover... weird... sex jokes and bad gore... so... WRONG... Well, my first DECENT story, as well as the first one I finished, is a short tale about vampires which I posted in my forum, as well as I made a illustrated book-version for art-s...

Re: Foreign Languages
Well, I come from Spain, where we have a WONDERFUL education, which allow us to learn a lot of languages so we look like natives once we start talking. As an example of our HIGH level, you can listen to this amazing English lecture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhJt3Tzjy8I Oh, yeah... Well, in Spa...

Re: Art Learning Resources
I took a quick look at the list and I haven't seen this, I'm sorry if I missed it. http://www.artnatomia.net/uk/artnatomiaIng.html Artnatomia (artnatomy) gives you a model portrait in 2D. You can control the face's muscles to form a lot of different expressions. This way you can learn a lot about th...

Truefaiterman's Art [Always Looking for feedback]
Well, I think it's time to start moving my... art? Somewhere else besides DeviantArt, so a personal thread sounds good to me. I mostly work with Sai and Photoshop (I'm trying to practise more with PS), and I record the process of most of my paintings. LAST UPDATE: http://orig02.deviantart.net/dc2f/f...

Re: Psst. You. Let's talk about stylistic choices.
- Describe your style in one word. Cute? Sophisticated? Unique? GROTESQUE. No, seriously, I actually have a hard time drawing and painting pretty things, most of my characters are ugly psycho-faced weirdos, if not terrifying monsters. - Which hemisphere do you feel like you take most inspiration fr...

Re: Visual Novels and semi-abstract art?
Well, I'll say I don't think it's a good idea to abstract the art too much: After all, if the reader wants to only use his/her imagination, they'd just get a book, right? With that said, abstract art can be pretty interesting as long as the design and composition are GOOD. And I honestly believe tha...

Re: Greeny's Guide to Art Commissions
Well, I've been reading the whole topic and I have to thank all of you for your contributions, I think I learned a lot about commissioning, which I've mostly saw DeviantArt-style (PM, pay in advance, have your pic, PROFIT). The things that scares me are prices and contracts, since I'm awful with eve...

Re: Drawing faster?
I haven't seen your art, but I see people praising a lot your colours, so I think... have you ever tried painting the colours first, and then focusing on the lines? Painting with shapes and stains instead of linework seems a LOT faster, at least in my personal experience. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
