Re: Black Rosette[GXB][otome] update 12-01-2013 page 7
Been looking at this off-and-on for a while and I've played 'Winter Bliss' and really enjoyed it (should probably put a comment over there if I already haven't). This is one game I'm looking forward to playing.

Re: House of Dolls [paranormal] [kinetic]
Yippee, a different style of art. I wish you success, and hope you enjoy making your kinetic novel. Yay, my first comment. Yeah, hope the art style gets accepted - photorealism painting has pretty much been killed off by the digital age but I wanted the dolls in my story to seem as real as possible...

Re: Clockwork Heart(Robots, GxB, GxG, GxX)
LOL. Your plot/concept sounds similar to mine. I've a late uncle who was a doll-maker with the nephew inheriting, going to the house and finding the dolls. Mine's kinetic however the plot involves saving the dolls. Good luck with your robots.

Re: Ex Astris 02 [GxB][Light Sci-fi/Supernatural]
I really enjoyed the first chapter of this, and was so glad when I realised this was chapter 2 and not what I'd already played (took me a while). No disappointments in the second chapter. It has a good pace and the world is getting fleshed out. Also has some interesting concepts coming through. I li...

Re: Sprites: "In Motion" vs. "At Rest"
I was playing a game recently that used dynamic poses but I found if the sprite stayed on the screen too long they seemed 'frozen' to me and I really wanted them to relax. So I'd recommend relaxed poses but bring out the dynamic pose if you want some impact.

Re: Planning out a VN
Yeah, the writing step for a VN with multiple endings has me a bit stumped too. The multiple endings make it too complicated to proceed without an outline in my opinion. But then what? Do you write it out in MSWord using different coloured text to distinguish the various pathways. I guess you could ...

Re: To all Otome Fans: Would you date this Character?
I thought both styles were similar to each other. The first is pushing more towards semi-realism but it's left rather loose in the brushwork and doesn't have the range of color that can be incorporated in that style. I like both styles, so either is fine with me.

Re: Adventures of Prince Ivan 2.0 [VN](Fant/Adv)
This was a delight to play. Loved the artwork and how everything (writing, art, music, coding) works so well together to make the whole. Glad I went back to play a second time, because I got quite a short game the first time whereas things expanded out more during the second play-through. I've still...

Re: List (or filter) of visual novels by quality?(DIWIC?)
Sorry but I don't think ranking is a good idea and in my opinion would be counter-productive for a forum that's designed to support creators of VNs. To rank fairly, you really need a team of people who play every game and give it a mark and then do the same for every new game that comes along to pla...

I found visual novels and have really enjoyed playing them and also trying to make one of my own after finding my way to Renpy and the Lemmasoft forums.

Follow what your character would do. If the age of your audience is a problem perhaps put in the first and last letter but use asterisks in the middle.

Business can have an internal promotion system where you can eventually climb the corporate ladder. University lecturers can also progress to some degree with peer promotion.
