I agree with PyTom and overall I'm not a big Kickstarter fan personally. Even if you raise a few grand on Kickstarter it's enough only to barely complete the game. It's also no guarantee that that person has either the technical or project management skill to get the job done.

Not a whole lot of presence, but the genre is definitely growing. There is no reason we can't organize our own VN meeting at GDC.

I'd love to come to the recording session but I'll be busy doing conference stuff since I'm paying a lot for the trip. I hope it goes well and that there is an opportunity to meet somewhere during the week.

For me the risks seem to be: 1. Not being able to find the talent you need. I know a couple voice actors who attend GDC but not many. Why is it necessary to get voice recording done during GDC? I'm not sure why you are taking this approach.
