Re: Textbox Problems [UNSOLVED]
How do I change the spacing between "Eileen" and "You've created a new Ren'py game? If you want a quick way of adding space, you can try: if who: text who id "who" null height 10 Otherwise, I don't know how else to reduce the spacing. I'm not familiar with first_spacing either. I usually just put t...

[SOLVED] Display screen in grayscale
Is there a way to do a grayscale filter screen effect on the game screen? I have a screen dimmer that puts a transparent black screen behind my modal screens, but I would like to have a grayscale effect instead. I know it's possible to use an image matrix in a transform for a single image, but I'm n...

Re: Hovered the choice button
I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I fumbled around a bit and got this to work. One thing is, if you change the choice name (refered to as caption in the choice menu), you'll have to update choice_map . Good thing is, if you don't define the choice in choice_map , nothing will disp...

I had the same issue with my yes/no prompt, and found a solution with one config variable: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 99#p369299

Re: Animating a separate shadow on hover
I think I found a way to implement the separate shadows. You can use the hovered and unhovered properties of the imagebuttons and assign the appropriate transition to the shadow. screen main_menu(): # The background of the game menu. window: style "mm_root" # This ensures that any other menu screen ...

Re: paint tool sai brush settings for sprites! (Resource)
I wish I found this sooner because these brushes are wonderful. Brush A is light and very smooth, and Brush B has strong bold strokes that are great for closing in areas for colouring. I had fun experimenting with them both, and might even switch to brush B as my primary brush in the future. Thanks ...

Re: Summer Novel Festival - SuNoFes [July] [itch.io]
Great itch.io site! This looks like a great opportunity for me to finish my game. Since I have more free time during the summer, I'm hoping to use that to my advantage. I regret one thing though: looking at the CC resources. They're a wonderful collection and of high quality, but it's so tempting to...

Re: Custom one more menu screen to display the place?
Glad it's working for you! I had to dig to find out how to perform transitions between the arrow buttons, but I found an action that does what you're looking for, in a way: With(transition) . But, these transitions deal with the entire screen, so using the slide transitions causes the arrows to move...

Re: Problem with screenshot in Save/Load
EDIT: So I took a closer look at your screenshot code and it's not very clear what you want to do with the screenshot and save description. Did you want the user to select a save first so that its screenshot and description show? A way to do that would be having a variable curr_save that keeps trac...

Re: HELP!! HOW TO SAVE THIS CRAPPY GUI!
I gave a few possible approaches to the issues, so being really specific about what you're going for helps me a lot. Keep in mind there's more than one way to solve a problem, especially in a GUI design! For the readable text, let's combine the methods. This is how to add a background and outline to...

Re: HELP!! HOW TO SAVE THIS CRAPPY GUI!
If you have something specific in mind you want to change, someone can help with your coding. Otherwise what's considered a good-looking design can be pretty subjective! I do have a few suggestions to run by you for starters: The screen names are white, but only that, making it tough to read dependi...
