Re: The Adventures of Scottie [1950s] [Heist & Espionage]
IWe're aiming at having our prototype done by some time in September, we'd love for you to be a playtester, if you're interested? If not, we can add you to the mailing list for regular updates :3 Absolutely! That sounds like fun, so count me in! Also, I loooove seeing the inspirations for Scottie's...

Re: Cavaliers & Carnivals [KN][fantasy/adventure, friendship
Hey there! Thanks for checking out our game and leaving your lovely comments <3 I came over to take a look at yours, and from the GUI to the backgrounds and character sprites, EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT! The story sounds awesome, with an interesting take on the 'transported into my own thoughts' trope....

Re: The Adventures of Scottie [1950s] [Heist & Espionage]
I loved the demo so, SO much! <3 Insta-fan! Maybe because this game is right up my alley...I go pretty weak for any fiction set in the 1920s-1950s. I love the art and snappy dialogue, and enjoyed the characters almost immediately. Scottie and Freddie will make great partners in crime, and I like the...

Re: How interesting is emofuri for you?
For me personally, emofuri stretches into the Uncanny Valley territory. But I'm happy that people are using it to explore new ways of customizing their VNs! I just think people need to remember: 1) don't make the animation the driving feature of the game itself and 2) even if you have a sprite using...

Are there plans to make a 2015 one? I'm seeing a bunch of new faces on LSF (which is exciting), so I wonder how the stats have change after a year?

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Wow, Tempus, your backgrounds are great! I love the atmosphere. Warm up sketch of one of the protagonists to my VN. The hand being raised looks odd, and I can't put my finger on it (no pun intended): http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q732/Green-Glasses/C%20and%20C/kay_alternate_warmup2_zps40irfo9p...

Neat, thanks for the share! I usually hop on over to Behind the Name for interesting names for my characters, but this list is a good source too.

Re: Should we be encouraging?
My point wasn't the economics or my client pool. But I'll be sure to step up my game, sure. Go figure no one's hired me in months. The one major issue is that people expect quality work for cheap, or even for free. I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer. THAT is what hurts our market. Ah, okay- that ...

Re: Should we be encouraging?
One of my fellow GUI artists and I were just complaining about how people on Lemmasoft offering free GUIs really hurts our market. I mean, we don't mind it for free projects or to build a portfolio, but if you have quality work, please charge something comparable to market prices (within your comfo...

Here's a detailed review of a Monoprice tablet, ranging from $50-$80. I've used one and it's pretty sharp.
