Re: Ex Astris 02 [GxB][Light Sci-fi/Supernatural]

What you say is true . . . and also, I think I can safely blame my reading comprehension failure on my lack of quality sleep last night. D'oh. I should really make sure I know what the heck I'm talking about before I comment.

I look forward to future entries!

Re: Ex Astris 02 [GxB][Light Sci-fi/Supernatural]

I remember the first chapter, and it set up an interesting world. So naturally I downloaded and played the new one. I'll have more detailed feedback once I can go back through it and write down my specific thoughts. (I play through VNs at least once to enjoy them and bring out the fine-toothed comb ...

Re: Emma: A Lady's Maid [GxB/G][Romance][Steampunk Adventure

Yep, there will be non-romantic endings! In fact, one of the first choices you make in the game is whether Emma aims to be married or to be an independent woman. But I would say the general emphasis of the game is about 50-50 when it comes to romance and adventure. If you don't enjoy romantic stori...

Re: Corona Borealis (GxB)(Family, Friendship, Romance) 2/18

I'm glad this thread got bumped, or I might have missed it! It's good to see another project that's willing to explore family relationships and friendships---elements that get cast off in favor of romance far too often. I'll definitely be playing this when it's released.

Hmmm. Decent writing? Steampunk setting? Consider me interested, though I hope there's at least one ending that does not require a romance.

Re: Halloween otome [GxB]

if we ever do another vn -you may or may not see more on the history/bg/development of the characters writing issues we will make note of and hopefully put out a patch later on. In regards to nauseous; Count is human and as it is a common mistake that people use, so much that the Merriam-Webster ha...

Re: Kendo Crush! [BxG][Fully Voiced Demo Released! - 09/02/2

All right . . . so I've played through this one twice and experimented with some different choices. I'm quite optimistic about how it will turn out. The writing was solid, but I noticed more than one word omitted in the text that ended up being voiced, at least one non-intentional grammatical error ...

Re: Halloween otome [GxB]

I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. I have a love-hate relationship with dating sims/romance VNs, so that's saying a lot. Except for a few blips, the writing was solid, and the characters (except for perhaps the Ice Queen, but more on that in a second) got developed enough that I could a...

Re: Mahou Shoujo Žižek-chan

Ebi-hime, thanks for your response. I admit I have not yet played this game (though I do plan to), so my initial post was more of a general impression of what kind of story and characters it involves rather than a full review. Madoka is an inspiring work, and it's easy to want to use something like ...

So . . . everyone's all right with this being quite obviously derivative of Puella Magi Madoka Magica?

Re: Reach the Top! [Adventure][Fantasy][GxB]

Before I say anything else, a preface: I have been "lurking," if you will, as an occasional visitor to LSF for several years now, finding VNs to enjoy and, out of interest, critiques to read. Prior to discovering this thread, I had no real desire to offer input of my own. Since I can't comment as a ...
