I'd make one if there was any chance of her eating it...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Go rest. :P \(^m^)/ for sure! Thanks for the help chocojax, I'll scale it up 200% next time and treat hair like clumps. I think my problem was overdoing it in the first place. I have a tenancy to get over obsessive when making stuff. Are you sure I can't have the skin smooth and the clothes cell sh...

This is better right?

Any tips for next time?

The good thing about layering is that it's easy to make such changes quickly. If I did it all on one layer... I would be screwed!

Re: Giving response to bad game with good effort?

Usually games like this are either targeted at another audience, mainstream or both. If its clearly targeted at another audience I wouldn't say anything because their is nothing to say, its just not a game that was meant/designed for me. If its clearly mainstream (or trying to be) and targeted at sa...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

 funny, I was thinking the same thing about the hair. Hmm now I know how to make hair look like grass. *notes down for future reference Anyway I'm going to go for a simpler cell-shading style like on the stockings instead of countless layers of color. Simplicity with detail is what makes manga,...

Re: Phil Fish, some Other stuff and the Videogame Industry

I don't think Phil intended to hurt anyone on his remark about Japanese video-games in modern times, neither would he intend to come of as arrogant and egocentric. It's just the sort of persona he has, he seems to be a generally brash and self driven personality in which I'm sure he steps on a few t...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Thanks MaiMai I made the shorts shorter but
cartooning2.png
Its a bit tricky making the torso longer so I'm leaving it as it is. I also fixed her left eye, it was a little bit lazy.

Usually no one (players) really notices these small things but they make a big difference in the overall picture.

@ Didules: \(^o^)/ Thank you so much! I fixed it up AND learned a quick way to check folds from photos.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

I got it this time with the cloth folds , the key was to just keep it simple and quick sift lines. I sort of like both drawings though, not so sure which style I should settle with but I'm leaning a little more to the second one. @ Dibules: Thanks, I figured since manga is an asian cartooni...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

I created an original picture with reference from a picture. photo IMG_7414.jpg cartooning cartooning.png I think I'm slowly understanding cloth folds... sort of. I apologize for the mild sexualization , but it was fun drawing this (^_^) I know *its not very practical *the ridiculous shorts and awkw...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

I colored her in and changed the arm, thanks for the tip and comments. I think this is a step in the right direction, next is just a lot more practice before I continue. gypsie.png I really liked this outfit! nice http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/download/file.php?id=22375&t=1 Wow, color is so power...

Yeah I use emulators all the time so I'll figure it out, thanks. Any specific favorite that you recommend to start with? Or are they all you'r favourites?

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

I now feel satisfied with my manga style. It seems I'm more of the realistic type when it comes to drawing since I really suck at heavy cartooning, the previous post shows evidence. I just don't "understand" it well enough like I do with realism. I think I need some more practice with my cloth folds...
