Re: Serafina's Saga [Romance, Drama, Adventure] [GxB][GxG]
Thanks so much JimG and Lesleigh63! @AngelicReckoning: It's true that a a lot is hinted at in the game without being revealed. It was partially on purpose, but also just a result of the fact that I have so much more of the story in my head (I have written several novels set in this world, in additio...

Re: Hierofanía
I finally got around to playing through "Hierofania" and I enjoyed it a lot! I love your unique style of drawing, especially the backgrounds. Somehow your images exude a goth feeling even though they are vibrant and full of energy. I also enjoyed your playful style of writing, and I especially liked...

Thanks everyone!
@akemicchi: It is a VN, so the player has options! And you do get to decide which side to join, though the decision comes more as a natural result of your actions throughout the game than one final choice

Re: Nachtigal (otome/soft horror/vampires)
This was a charming VN! The art was lovely and the GUI very polished. I enjoyed the fast pace of events, the interesting and quirky characters, the stylish music, and the unique blend of humor and horror. Great work!

Re: Need help saving a Runtime Init Block Variable
Well, I seem to have it working now, and honestly I'm not even sure why!! I think adding (store.object) to my char_thought definition might have fixed the problem after all, but something else was messing it up around the time I added it. Apparently I just needed to step away from it awhile,...

Re: Need help saving a Runtime Init Block Variable
Each character is initialized (I think?) with code like this: label start: $ Korah = char( name="Korah" ) Followed by char_thoughts throughout the game like the previous example: label start: $ Korah_1 = char_thought("What a jerk!", 0) $ Korah.currentThoughts = Korah_1 I thought the 0 after "What a ...

Re: Need help saving a Runtime Init Block Variable
The variable is changed by this code: screen profile_screen: tag menu for i in allchars: $ char = i if viewing == char.name: $ char.currentThoughts.numViewed+= 1 $ name = "Name: " + char.name $ thoughts = "Current Thoughts: \n\n" + char.currentThoughts.thought + "" The whole point of the system is t...

Re: Need help saving a Runtime Init Block Variable
How do I make a subclass? Adding the store.object to my definition like so: init python: class char_thought(store.object): def __init__(self, thought, numViewed): self.thought = thought self.numViewed = numViewed doesn't seem to be solving my problem, unfortunately. Say with this example: label star...

Need help saving a Runtime Init Block Variable
Greetings kind programmers, I am using an important variable in my game as follows: init python: class char_thought(object): def __init__(self, thought, numViewed): self.thought = thought self.numViewed = numViewed Obviously that code is part of a larger group of code and definitions, all of which p...

Re: How to make a changing character status screen?
Thank you crestforge!
You guys are awesome. It'll take me a little while to incorporate all this and test it out (I will probably combine some of this code with the Information Screen system, too) but this looks like it will do exactly what I need. Thanks again!

Re: How to make a changing character status screen?
Thanks for the suggestion! It definitely helps me solve 1-3 by providing a system of character profiles displaying their current thoughts. But that still leaves me with #4 as a problem, which I also couldn't figure out to do in email systems. Is there a way to add coding that keeps track of whether ...

Re: Basic Message System
Thanks for posting this coding, it is very helpful! I'd love to know if there's a way to keep track of whether the player has read a specific message? For instance, I want to achieve something like this: $ add_message("Annoyed", "Danny", "Geez, I'm having such a horrible day! First I step in dog cra...
