Re: [HELP] something like .rpa archivie

Long story short: whatever the mean you'll use, there's a way to decrypt. If you'll surf around the web, you can see any kind of MOD for console roms. They decrypted, changed and packed back again, even those "obscure" assembly codes. In a word: be ready to get pirated. Thats' true for games as movi...

Re: Is renpy good to use with Daz3d?

Renpy can't render 3d scenes internally, so you must use pregenerated renderings as static images. Once rendered, such images are correct as any other, so it's just a matter on how good you are in rendering (lights, camera, materials and shaders). I used a bit Daz3d for some prototype, posing figure...

Re: Trouble Setting Navigation Menu Font

Try this, then I'm out of any possible solutions (I usually don't use GUI and rewrite the thing from scratch).
define gui.interface_text_font = "whatever.otf"

Re: Book opening, closing, page turning effect (not working)

You should use a function that trigger the animation, the animation that receive the computed parameter from the function, and the Function action.

I'm quite sure reading this will help you.

Re: Using a Screen Inside of a Function gives 'Not Defined' error

The error is that you have to show the screen, not just calling it like any function.

Re: Making Python take an argument or string as a variable name

That works! Thank you so much! Just out of curiosity, why does the called iterator go crazy? Anyway, I'll start using classes for cells and characters. Do you have any other tips that might make things easier in the future? It's hard for me to explain on technical terms... It's a rare circumstance ...

Re: Changing a persistent value when choosing an option on the main menu

I don't see the point. If they doesn't look at the intro in the beginning, why you want to lock them out from it? You should give that chance anyway. EDIT: you have such skip option at the end of it, so the player watch it at least once, then decide if he does want to play it the next game launch or...

Re: Making Python take an argument or string as a variable name

You can't do it. The called iterator go crazy.
Try this:

Code: Select all

def myfunc(c):
    x = cells[c]["characters"]
    y = cells[c]["objects"]
    z = cells[c]["whatever"]
    return x, y, z
$ chara, obj, what = myfunc("a")
