Re: How to make more quick save slots? (help)

You don't need anything to do that. Just remove any button that lead to default save/load screen in the navigation screen and quick manu, and change the LOAD button with: textbutton "Continue" action QuickLoad() More probably you should also change the accessed screen by right clicking. Add this at ...

Re: text centered in the middle of the bottom part of the screen(still need help)

Are these normal dialogue lines? They look as menu voices. Or just "text". Or whatever.

Anyway:

Code: Select all

define gui.dialogue_xpos = 0.5
define gui.dialogue_text_xalign = 0.5
That's the example in the gui doc, and it worked for me.
Did you try to erase permanent data too from the launcher?

Re: Dating Sim Engine (DSE) 4.1! Day Planner and Event Manager

I'm doing a variant that include a number of options for a calendar, activities and control values, boosting the simulative experience a bit (Tokimeki Memorial style). It should be scalable and hopefully entirely standalone.
I can post it here when finished?

Re: AttributeError: ‘StoreModule’ object has no attribute ‘_history'

Renpy saves are not exactly "freezes": they save "one step back in time", the last content of the rollback cache, and execute from that point onward when you load. One thing that's not saved is the state of variables WHILE interacting with a screen (that's mean in the same "step" of the rollback cac...

Re: Main menu, movie into still image HELP

You would not use the splashscreen for that but the before_main_menu label https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/label.html#special-labels If it exists, this label is called before the main menu. It is used in rare cases to set up the main menu, for example by starting a movie playing in the background. I...

Re: Calling Image Attribute by Variable

Layeredimages can use variables to set a picture for that layer, so you can use a renpy.random to randomize what to show. Finally, the if statement adds a layer that selects between displayables using a Python statement. This is evaluated constantly, and the first condition that evaluates to true is...

Re: Main menu, movie into still image HELP

Have the movie play in the splashscreen label. https://www.renpy.org/dev-doc/html/label.html?highlight=splashscreen#special-labels As for the main menu background... simply use that last frame picture as the main menu picture (I dunno, maybe a screenshot?). That way a player can reach the main menu ...

Re: Choice Screen Appearing with Transition

You should add something like this at the end of the choice screen:

Code: Select all

    on "show" action With(renpy.transition(dissolve))
    on "hide" action With(dissolve)

Re: Screen button click not registering?

You call the screen. So, the Function do his job and return a None. If you return a None, nothing happen (no value is stored in _return to proceed). The second click simply check the button is active, so practically return True. The fact that seq is the value you want for is a false positive (it was...

Re: Dissolve that Doesn't Stop Game?

Dict transitions.
https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/transiti ... ransitions

Another idea is to use an ATL transform instead of transitions, that are made specifically for a change in scene. WIth an ATL transform execution don't wait for inputs.

Re: text centered in the middle of the bottom part of the screen(still need help)

The defaults are: define gui.dialogue_xpos = 268 define gui.dialogue_ypos = 50 ## The maximum width of dialogue text, in pixels. define gui.dialogue_width = 744 ## The horizontal alignment of the dialogue text. This can be 0.0 for left- ## aligned, 0.5 for centered, and 1.0 for right-aligned. define...
