Re: Multiple imagebuttons inside a frame on screen are blocking a transform.

If you add two or more elements to a frame a fixed is created inside the frame, so your code is actually frame: position # position of the frame fixed: # a virtual fixed, not positioned that occupy the entire area of the screen item # three childs of the frame. item item You should type this: frame:...

Re: Printing Strings With %

Well, is NOT so hard or dramatical, I mean... just use placeholders. default st_msg = "something" default st_score = "" default st_what = "?!?!" idle LiveComposite( (120, 170), # x y pos (0.095, 0.650), Text("%s%s%s" % (st_msg,st_score,st_what)), ) In the moment you deliver an hit or whatever such g...

Re: Printing Strings With %

You should use each conditional on all arguments, non the whole tuple. Something like Text("%s%s%s" % (("Deal" if c.dmg > 0 else "Gain" if c.armor > 0 else ""),(c.dmg if... else c.armor if...))) As you can see this is not the best thing to do, so probably you should compute such values in advance wit...

Re: Failing at adding variables in a search items mini-game

Some more hint. Create all the needed variables and assign them a default value (you can change it later). Create a loop (that's mean a label that jump back on itself, or exit away on an input) Call a screen with interaction buttons, that Return() an action. Have your code manage the Return() value ...

Re: Black and red overlay for flashing lights

On a previous attempt I simply created a red picture.

Code: Select all

image redpic = Solid((255,0,0,125))
Then created a transform

Code: Select all

transform alert:
    alpha 1.0
    linear 1.0 alpha 0.0
    linear 1.0 alpha 0.8
    repeat
And used it as a normal image

Code: Select all

show redpic at alert
That broadly worked for me.

I'm questioning about your rights to distribute a part of the code there for free download (you don't own any distribution rights, I suppose).

Re: What is the best way to combine different codes?

You should work from the inner context to peripherals, so the image map first and then extra routines. But more probably you should begin with the core simulation routine (the most inner context). Reality check: you'll go back and forth the whole time. For a complex project like your, it's likely yo...

Re: Maximum number of hotspots

No. The imagemap can use infinite number of hotspots, 6 is the number of maximum images you can give to define it (6 different states). From the docs: A convenient way of creating a screen, especially for those who think visually, is to create an imagemap. When creating an imagemap, the imagemap sta...

Re: Custom UI question: Item preview navigation

The best way that come to my mind is to use a deque. init python: from collections import deque default dress =deque(["jacket","shirt","hat"]) screen select_dress(): hbox: imagebutton auto "left_arrow_%s.png" action Function("dress_move",1) $ datext = dress[0] text "[datext]" # that should be change...

Re: Efficiently coding a sprite change during dialogues

You can omit the 'at left' thing, as joseph is always joseph and keep his transform. The transform is relative to the tag (the first entry). https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/displaying_images.html#image For expressions that last just one tense, you can simplify with say with image imaage attributes. h...

Re: Text Display Effects? (ala Undertale?)

It can be done, but to come with an efficient result it's a pain. Renpy can't natively animate the text in the dialogue window, but can show pictures inside it. So you can create an image, with a Text() displayable inside it and ATL transforms. https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2...

Re: Button hover off?

Set the default alpha at 0.0, then use the "on idle" event to set it back to 0. transform imagehover: alpha 0.0 on hover: alpha 0.0 linear 1.0 alpha 1.0 on idle: linear 1.0 alpha 0.0 (no way of actually testing it, but it worked for me on positions and offsets).

Re: [HELP] something like .rpa archivie

Long story short: whatever the mean you'll use, there's a way to decrypt. If you'll surf around the web, you can see any kind of MOD for console roms. They decrypted, changed and packed back again, even those "obscure" assembly codes. In a word: be ready to get pirated. Thats' true for games as movi...
