Re: Scelta - Shuffling the hands dealt by Fate
No, it's the .mp3 bug PyTom pointed early in this thread - we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet ^_^; I'll see if Development Cycle 2 result can include a creak-free music along with voice acting, especially since Ellie will start recording her voice for Anna soon. Use ogg, it's much better tha...
Re: Departure
Wonderful! I've listened to the drama, and I'd must admit they sound really decent - quite a proffesional work, especially with voice acting. Just a little hint - try to find better samples for some of the sound effects, for example sounds of walking could be a bit nicer. Generallyy, there's nothing...

Re: Dream wish (ugh lame title -_-')
Hello there Neowired! It seems we are in the same boat, I mean country :) I play Dream Wish and I have to admit it looks preety neat, especially with all the stuff done manually. Even if it's not the biggest of quality (which isn't a problem, I've seen a lot of crap getting more attenion), it's real...

Re: Resolution [change] - to widescreen?
Just note if you'll make the game in with widescreen support, it might be displayed inproperly on standard 4:3 monitors. Ren'Py doesn't support both 16:9 and 4:3 at one time, and you have to chose the reslution through the options.rpy. I don't know if there's any other way to implement various scree...

Re: Color Chart with RenPy friendly hex codes?
And another one here . This comes also with color names, which are recognised by most of the web browsers. And here you may find a nice color generator, which can help to test the different colors with their tones. A more advanced version of this generator can be found here . This can be also helpfu...

Re: 2009 Lemmy Award Discussion
And I'd also note that game-making communities elsewhere on the 'net have no problem having actual opt-in competitions which they still approach in a 'properly artistic' manner, without any real populist whoring and without any real loss of the friendly and supportive atmosphere we have in LSF, so ...

Re: Doomfest's stuff
You're paying to much attention to details, LVUER. The bg looks nice and the city skyline propably wouldn't fit in here, anyway it looks better with sky than buildings. Although, even if the girl is standing on some sort of platform where the water's more shallow, there shouldn't be any "5m" sign :P...

Re: Doomfest's stuff
I see you have a prominent attitude of drawing towards kawai girls
Good water effect, great sky, wonderful composition! Did I mentioned you have also an eye for colors? If no, then I say it now. Keep up the good work and I'm looking towards seeing more of your usual stuff

Re: need tips on testing the game
Those methods are quite good. You might also want to try one of the best - everytime you'd finish a small part of the novel, try to test it - developer tools inside Ren'Py are a good help. It's better to test alwyas a bit by bit, rather than making mistake somewhere halfway and after finishing the g...

Re: 3D Studio Max (First 24 hours in it + Free BG's)
Don't say they're crappy! It's almost proffesional work and their resemblance to those bg's made by other artists working on commercial titles is larger than you think. I played a lot of VN's and can safely say that. Just keep on going! I really need to sit to PS, cause it looks like my graphic skil...

...and also only available in Japan, as far as I'm aware, and won't run on non-Japanese consoles. I think Cave hate the English-speaking world because we made fun of their Jam. Don't be funny, the real thing is here: http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/30/cave-shooters-denied-xbla-release-by-microsoft/ ...
