Re: Tips for keeping track of large projects/highly branching games?

I separate my branches into main plot branches, and smaller branches for personality traits, and even smaller branches for sub-personality traits. The branches always reconnect after about a couple of in-game minutes of playthrough. This doesn't need fancy flowcharting because these 'branches' don't...

Tips for keeping track of large projects/highly branching games?

Hi everyone! First off, let me thank you for taking the time to read this. So the question is, to all the visual novel/game creators of large projects (or highly-branching projects) out there, do you have any tips for keeping track of everything? e.g. sprite expressions, character affections levels,...

Re: >OPEN< Background Illustration, Concept Design | RPG, MMO, FPS, Visual Novel Game/Book Covers/Promo Arts..

Hi! Just dropping by to say your art is lovely.
About your prices, how much would the something like the image in the top row, middle image (indoor longue room with brick walls) cost?
Just a rough estimate will do, I'm still working out my budget for my in-progress visual novel.
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the recommendations!! I appreciate it.
I like how documents and spreadsheets created in Google Drive don't count towards your free storage limit.
Oh wow I never knew this, that would be really helpful!

Re: Anime Style Artist For Hire

Dont need any commissions at the moment, but just dropping by to say that you're really talented and I love your art, hope you get the commissions that you need! (P.s: Out of curiosity, since you posted sketch samples, do you do commissions for sketches too? If so, how much, thanks!)

Re: Good Writing Software?

@parttimerstorier: Oh, twine! I had a look at it before because someone recommended it on Reddit and twiddled around with it for a bit but it was a little too confusing for me (and iirc there wasn't stuff like highlights, tables etc available). Thanks for the recommendation tho! @ghostclown: I tried...

Re: Is there anyway you can move around a single image to different areas?

If you just want to move it from right to left, xalign is definitely what you're looking for. Just have your oversized image (if you want it to move horizontally have it be larger in a horizontal direction than the screen) show background: # Shows it at the right of the background xalign 1.0 yalign ...

Re: Is there anyway you can move around a single image to different areas?

I don't understand your question exactly. Do you mean have one image, and zoom in and out of it? If so, yes, that is possible. Have a look at this:

Also your link doesn't work.

Good Writing Software?

Hey everyone~ Thanks for taking the time to read this! What writing software do you all use to write your scripts for visual novels? I normally use word, but I'm dealing with a very choice-heavy game and it gets really confusing to keep all the branches in check, even when I use the bookmark + hyper...

Re: Cafe Mysteria[Otome][GxB][Butler Cafe][10/16/2015]

Hey everyone!~ Sorry for the long hiatus :) Good news is I'm in the middle of organizing, re-writing and elaborating on my original script~ The new script will be much longer and detailed than the original, with exponentially more scenes. For example, I'm about 50% done with Haru's Day 1 route, and ...

[SOLVED] Add a variable to determine if "save and load" feature has been used

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this question. I was wondering if it was possible, using Ren'py, to add a variable to determine if the player has used the "save and load" feature. What I want to do is similar to Witch House, in which there is a secret ending if the player makes it to...
