Does fanfiction improve your writing?
I've heard different authors go back and forth on this. Does writing fanfiction help to improve your writing? Reasons why it WOULD NOT improve your writing - if you are writing on fanfic.net, chances are that the comments would mostly praise you instead of critically tearing your work apart - the ch...

Re: Saturn's Trip to The Sun & Other Destinations [GxG][SIM]
Damn, this game looks amazing! I'm playing it the minute it comes out! Questions: Based on the premises, would you play? Which character seems most interesting to you? What do you think about being able to buy multiple outfits for Saturn? Do you have any game play suggestions to make the character i...

Re: Swords of Edo [VN,Romance,GxG/B,Battles,Female Protagoni
As someone who actually really likes good female protagonists I don't think it's an 'ew girls' thing... BUT this does seem rather more aimed at guys than at girls (not an uncommon issue with a lot of GxG sadly, but it's there) so you're possibly going to be cutting down on your female audience ther...

Re: Selling out (theoretical discussion only)
I've been thinking about this topic a lot. I know there's a kind of business system in Japan where agents hire promising manga artists and tell them "We will pay you to make anything you want to make. You can have all the creative freedom as long as your work contains yaoi." or shonen, or whatever. ...

Re: PR nightmare: When indie devs are attacked
If you're successful enough, you can pay someone else to filter all feedback (email, whatever) you get. That's healthier all-round because it's easier to tell the difference between criticism that is legitimate and criticism that is personal or unconstructive when you're not the one being criticise...

Re: PR nightmare: When indie devs are attacked
I've gotten enough harassment/hate mail/death threats in the years since I've been making games to fill a novel with. What I've come to understand from them is that the best way to respond to misinformation spread by trolls is to counter with the truth---and only the truth. There's no need to get i...

PR nightmare: When indie devs are attacked
I've been reading a few articles on the relationship of audiences/critics and creative artists and of course, the most extreme negative reactions are the ones that get the most views. See http://jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/2014/02/why-indie-developers-go-insane.html - this piece discusses the circumstan...

Re: In Orbit [GxG Otome] [Romance/Sci-fi]
Hmm, it seems Fei isn't getting much love. Ah, well. Time to cut her from the story. Who needs three love interests anyways. Fei has that silver fox appeal. Maybe she's younger than she looks? I assume she's older than the rest of the ladies due to her white hair. But anyways, I like dirty old ladi...

Re: HIGH FOG [paranormal, campy horror, wacky teens, romance
HOLY CRAP! This game looks boss! Heck, the VN could be a fun show on Cartoon Network. Charming, looks family friendly, the characters have a very endearing look. Doesn't matter if you attach a romance to it, I'll play this game either way. Good luck to you and your game!

Re: Chocolate Kiss(Yuri,Romance,GXG)Update-04/28/14-Please R
I really love the new art you posted up. It gives a really warm, kind of indie-ish, more personal feeling to this work. I'm hoping that the recent art you updated with will takeover the look of the game rather than the sprites. (Sorry, just my opinion, but the sprites are too "bland anime style" for...

Re: Selling out (theoretical discussion only)
If we take the "9 out of 10 people are not gay" statistic as-is for example, that would make most of the romantic writers of the world ones who naturally want to write for their own sexuality, which would obviously make for significantly less lgbt centered works in general. THIS. In my opinion, the...

I'll be watching out for this game. I don't really see a problem with Lola's thighs and the art looks fantastic! Definitely, the first thing I noticed on Lola was her thighs but in my opinion, they're perfectly fine. Lot's of folks have huge lower ends.

Re: In Orbit [GxG Otome] [Romance/Sci-fi]
I'm really excited for this VN, so I'll probably bump this thread every time you update to encourage you guys. Work hard! In Orbit looks very promising. :D Just my two cents you can ignore though; Love the body suits, the boots and designs on them are quite sexy. It's just that the crotch protectors...
