Sorry, I misinterpreted your question. Unfortunately, the only way I know how to do that is by overriding the callback in the character definition, or by using one of the character callback config options. Both have unwanted side-effects. I'm unaware of any equivalent to the side_image_same_transfor...

Define a transform, then set the side_image_same_transform config option. eg.

init -1:
    transform dissolve_in_out(old, new):
        old
        new with Dissolve(0.35, alpha=True)
define config.side_image_same_transform = dissolve_in_out

About the keywords, that would be awesome since there is 1-2 things i notices arent hightlighted (default and menu, for example) but as far as i have seen its something i do not understand how to do. You would probably need to create a .edit.py file which targets the portable sublime text build, using the relative path so you don't have problems with different drive letters. I couldn't find many examples of this. I guess the emacs example in the old Renpy docs could be adapted to work the way yo...
