Re: Senpai, Please Look at me! [GxB] [Otome, Slice-of-Life]
This was great. I really enjoyed the meta stuff, though now I'm wondering if I really have gotten all the endings. I managed to get the Cake one but I'm curious as to if that's the final final one. I was somehow really bad at this game and if I hadn't known it was going to go somewhere crazy I'd pro...

Re: of all there is [BxB...?] [Fantasy]
Is the world confusing though? I mean, the fact that night isn't night, mostly because they're basically space-stuffs and thus have no concept of night? I mean like if you had any confusion at first, I probably should make it clearer in the rewrite xD I'm a pretty bad barometer for 'is it too confu...

Re: of all there is [BxB...?] [Fantasy]
The demo is really lovely! It's a really intriguing world. A couple of suggestions though: It might be worth colouring the name labels in the text box to differentiate between the labels and what's actually being said. Also a shorter transition between sprites might suit the aliased style of them: t...

Another one chiming in to say this looks great! And am totally up for play testing and giving outline opinions if you want another person.

Re: NanoReno 2016
Are there any rules on how far you're allowed to go with music before the start date? I'm soloing but want to score it myself. I was kinda tempted to make music before because I'm losing a couple of weekends in March and so many people just use CC stuff anyway, but reading this that doesn't seem to ...

Re: Is music important in a game?
I don't think I've ever played a VN with my own music playing, even if the music in the game isn't great. Music can do so much for the atmosphere of the story (see everything in Quelcezot's post above) so if I'm listening to my own music it'd be like taking headphones into a subtitled film. You're n...

Really loving the aesthetics of this, there's something really classy about the aliased, limited colour palette you're using. The story sounds interesting as well!

Re: Fragment: A Broken Fairy Tale - Dark Scifi|Mystery|Psych
Okay, took another go at the demo: Played it on the mac, 1920 style. Didn't really run into any jitters except when I was skipping to catch up after repeatedly dying on the rhythm game. Sound balance was generally fine, though there were quite a few silent parts. If it's possible it would be really ...

I love how much personality all the sprites have in this! Looking forward to finding out more.

Re: The Story of Us [ GxB/G | Fantasy | Action | Psychologic
I feel like another option could just be to be somewhat-descriptive text wise, but to not have CGs / BGs corresponding to several of the scenes. I feel like the contrast between the text matter & plain, benign graphics could be a turn-off, but in some ways, that could also be a boon -- I won't have...

Re: Fragment: A Broken Fairy Tale - Dark Scifi|Mystery|Psych
I need to come back and have another shot at this but it might be worth either having some auto saves or making it known you can dead-end yourself on reflex puzzles (I got killed on one and now it looks like I have to start the whole game over, which is kinda frustrating.) Alternatively a jump back ...

Re: BL4NK x RE4DER [GxB][Romance?/Breaking the 4th Wall]
I'm a much bigger fan of meta shenanigans than I am of otome games as a whole, so I'm not sure I'm your audience... but this looks fun! - Do you find the guys attractive? They're cute! The art style is nice though I kinda wish it was done in the style of the speed paint you put up, which is even nic...

Re: The Story of Us [ GxB/G | Fantasy | Action | Psychologic
This sounds really cool. The intro-blurb is really evocative and the design style and sprite work look great. The plot is interesting, and I like the idea of having to fake amnesia. I don't really mind things being dark, if it's what the plot needs. Same for sad endings. (I'm not a fan of gore being...

Re: The Lighthouse [NaNoRenO14(ish)][BxG][Fantasy] DEMO ADDE
*pokes the thread to see if this is still going* Sort of. It's on the back burner until TK is able to get me some more assets. The writing is actually up to the final chapter, I'd say it's got another 5-10k left to write. The game contains 1,730 dialogue blocks, containing 25,112 words and 133,489 ...

Re: Thinning ink lines
If you do go back to Photoshop, https://gumroad.com/kyletwebster (primarily the drawing pack) and http://frenden.myshopify.com/products/photoshop_pencil_and_inking_brushes have some great brushes that, if you have a light touch can give you some lovely lines. Working on a large canvas is your best b...
