Re: Flipping screens horizontally
Try this: Rename your base, outfit, hair and face files to something like for example (will allow for automatic image attributes): chara_base.png chara_outfit_casual.png <- replace "casual" with the name of outfit chara_hair_normal.png <- replace "normal" with name of hairstyle chara_face_neutral.p...

Re: Flipping screens horizontally
looking at what you are doing...where you want to layer images on top of each other...you should just use a layered image. That is what they are there for! Hi there trooper, yeah you're right, but it's something new and I'm still trying to figure out how it works exactly... Maybe you'd be able to h...

Re: Flipping screens horizontally
Oh that's really interesting. I works, BUT, it doesn't maintain its transparency, causing a large white background to be added to the image.Kia wrote: ↑Mon Dec 24, 2018 12:57 pmtryCode: Select all

Flipping screens horizontally
So I know it's possible to flip images horizontally with define bob= im.Flip("bob.png", horizontal=True) However, is this also possible for screens? For example: screen bob: add "bob.png" if bobHat == True: add "bob_hat.png" How would you flip the above screen I made for bob horizontally? I've consi...

[SOLVED] Automatically hide dialogue window
So I see that the new Ren'py doesn't automatically hide the dialogue window anymore. Checking out the options.rpy it's set to define config.window= "auto" . Changing it to hide or none doesn't seem to have any effect on the game. The textbox stays on screen: You "Dreary day we're having" "Person B" ...

Positioning character dialogue boxes
I can define characters and give them custom dialogue boxes, but how do I customize a dialogue box per character? For example: Dialogue box position Side image position (characters appearing left, right or center, depending on the character.) Character name position If I go into my gui.rpy and edit ...

Animated models transparent background
So I know how to add videos to my game, but they won't keep their transparancy.
An alternative would be to do it like:
1.png
pause 0.2
2.png
pause 0.2
etc.
But due to the amount frames, this will end up very tedious and time consuming. Are there any alternatives?

H button only hide text and not screen
Right now whenever you press H, you hide the text on screen. However it also hides any screen that might've been called up. Is there a way to have the H button only hide the text?

Renpy check real life time/date?
So, I'm hoping to add a Christmas event to my game. Is there a way for the game to check the real world time / date? I'd like an event to fire on the 25th of December.
Just wondering if it's possible.
