Inventory System

So this is something I've been struggling with for a long time now. I want to make a inventory system that holds item you find ingame. Something looking like this: http://i.imgur.com/IVy2aS7.jpg 1. You find an item item1 = True 2. You bring up your inventory screen. If item1 == True: show screen ite...

Re: Help displaying and hiding screens in screens

Hey there Xavimat. I tried it with show and hide aswell. Same problem. Edit: I've tried making menuBOB part of screenDemo like this: screen shitShow: zorder 0 imagemap: ground "bgs/imgMaps/ForgeMapBridge.png" hover "bgs/imgMaps/ForgeMapBridge-hover.png" hotspot (107, 0, 118, 30) clicked Show("menuBO...

Help displaying and hiding screens in screens

Howdy folks. I'll try putting this as clear as possible. I'm having a screen that does the following: screen screenDemo: imagemap: ground "bgs/imgMaps/ForgeMapBridge.png" hover "bgs/imgMaps/ForgeMapBridge-hover.png" hotspot (107, 0, 118, 30) clicked Show("menuBOB") screen menuBOB(): frame: pos (107,...

Variables how and when to use them correctly? [Awnsered]

A few questions! 1. Is the use of variables appropriate for 1 off events like the one listed below or is there a simpler way? define tutorialRoom = False if tutorialRoom == False: $ tutorialRoom = True "This is the first time visiting this room." jump room else: "This is no longer the first time vis...

Possible to jump to previously visited label?

Is it possible to jump to previously visited label? Say I have 4 areas to go to. Area 1 Area 2 Area 3 Area 4 [LOCKED] Is there a way to jump back to the previous visited label? Say if you are in area 3 and you try to visit 4 (which is locked), it puts you back to area 3. Or do I need to make a varia...

Re: Pop-up menu on click

Hey man, this is great! Thanks! One question. frame: pos (x + 10, y + 20) has vbox textbutton "Inspect": clicked Hide("simple_menu") and Jump("one") When I do this, it jumps to label one, but doesn't hide the "simple_menu". Is there a way I can both hide the simple menu and jump to label one?

Pop-up menu on click [Solved]

I'm hoping to make a inventory where you can click an item and a small menu pops up. Wondering if it's possible to do something like this in Ren'py: http://i.imgur.com/An7qYss.png I'm pretty sure it is possible, but I have no idea what to look for on the wiki / google. I know nothing about Python, ...

Re: Showing Image when Hovering over Hotspot

Thanks for all the feedback! Honestly, I want to keep it as simple as possible. I'm making a navigation map and simple want a picture to show up the moment you hover over 1 of the buttons. Then when you click the button you jump to a new scene. It's mostly based on this tutorial: http://lemmasoft.re...

Re: Showing Image when Hovering over Hotspot

Hey man, thanks for all the effort! This'll come in handy in the future!
One thing though. You're still required to click the button to show the picture. I was hoping to have the image show up when you hovered over the button, and have it disappear again when you stop hovering over it.

Re: Imagemap Displaying a picture on hover.

This happeneds. It shows the first button at the right. (doesn't matter what I picture I try displaying at the rig...
