I'd strongly recommend running through several of the most recommended VNs for research. I've seen them work fine with and without narration, and I think that choice depends much on what kind of experience you're going for.

Welcome back! From a pragmatic perpsective, forum arguments can (and usually do) chew up a ton of time that could have been used for development. I try to weigh discussions before even joining them, which is why I may come off as a bit of a lurker.

I don't see why not. You could have several choices at each question point, and increment some variable based on the answers. Based on that animation, are you offering to give or pay a million yen? If so, I call dibs! As for the game idea, I think we'd have to see a prototype to make good evaluations. My main concerns with an open world are the chances of players getting lost, and not having that much to do in all that spa...

I agree 100% with KittyKatStar. Having someone to bounce ideas with can help out in so many ways. I love meeting with game devs, writers, painters, filmmakers, and other creative types.

Just my opinion, but I dislike having right or wrong endings in a game. I'm not a fan of blatant good/evil meters, either. I want the ending I reach to be the just as "right" as the others.
