Re: AOPII [Short / Slice of Life / Mental Health] [RELEASED]
AOPII recently had a contest for drawing the characters, and these were the winning guest artists! http://mymymellow.deviantart.com/art/Nova-Contest-612376603 http://violora.deviantart.com/art/AOPII-Nova-Cassiopeia-589420926 http://cluhdryxity.deviantart.com/art/Nova-Cassiopeia-606793002 And with th...

Re: Dynamic Character Text Box Help
Two things: 1) Before the start label, I hope you've defined your name variable 2) You have named your name variable "pname", but in your text you wrote "Congratulations [pn]..." rather than "Congratulations [pname]..." So, something like... default pname = "Mikomi" label start: t "...Yep, just one...

Re: Dynamic Character Text Box Help
Can you show more of your code? For example, where are you defining pname initially? What is the context of where your have your input code? What is the code where the person says the player's name? You are only showing bits, can you show longer more complete chunks of code so we can see the contex...

Re: Dynamic Character Text Box Help
What does your code look like now? Well, now I finally got the original problem fixed, but now when I bring up the inputted name in the dialogue, it says [pname] http://orig00.deviantart.net/e2d3/f/2016/160/3/7/sd_dlkfldkfg_by_mikomikisomi-da5msho.png define pn = Character("[pname]", color="#E32B3E...

Re: Dynamic Character Text Box Help
So there are three things going on here: 1) Characters should be defined using define rather than in an init python block. So this: define na = Character('???', color="#E32B3E", ctc="ctcblink", ctc_position="nestled", show_two_window= True) not this: init: $ na = Character('???', color="#E32B3E", c...

Re: Dynamic Character Text Box Help
all of the characters should share the same look unless you've changed something while defining the character, show your defining code for your characters and to be safe the code you used for naming then we can check for errors init: $ na = Character('???', color="#E32B3E", ctc="ctcblink", ctc_posi...

Dynamic Character Text Box Help
Okay, so I have a custom text box with edited settings that are used for all of my character's speeches, but the main character is name-able by the player and I can't get Ren'Py to use the same settings for the text box for all the other characters for the main character. ...That might not had made ...

Re: [NaNoRenO 2016] Idols!
Your game sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun to make and play. If you don't mind, I just have a couple questions I'd like to ask you about your project: - For the writing position, how much text do you anticipate would be needed for the game? Have you come up with a schedule as to when the t...

Re: Starry Dreams [Slice of Life / LGBT / Jam Entry]
I'm so happy to see more LGBT-friendly games being made these days! And with a sweets theme too? Awesomesauce! 1. What do you want to see out of this game? I honestly just want to see the game completed. I think that's the most important thing. Stats-building is fun, but I'm more of a "reading" typ...
