Re: Splitting up choice boxes vertically rather than horizontally?

I also tried the 3 x 2 grid using the code that Richar Dan suggested, but am stumped as to how to get the textbox features into the grid. Also, it's not always going to need to be a 2 x 3 grid - sometimes there will be 4 options, sometimes 2, sometimes 5, etc. Here's what I've got so far: https://i....

Re: Splitting up choice boxes vertically rather than horizontally?

Mikola, thank you. When I tried your code I got this error: I'm sorry, but errors were detected in your script. Please correct the errors listed below, and try again. File "game/screens.rpy", line 212: u'while' is not a keyword argument or valid child for the screen statement. while i < 6 ^ Ren'Py V...

[SOLVED] Auto forward not toggling?

Hello, the auto on my game is not working! Here's what I currently have for the auto function in my menu:

Code: Select all

hotspot (1285, 754, 123, 95) action Preference("auto-forward", "toggle")
When I try to click on my "auto" button in-game, though, nothing happens! Any idea on why this might be?

[SOLVED] Splitting up choice boxes vertically rather than horizontally?

Hi, I have designed and unconventional choice box layout, and would like to split them up into columns of 3 rather than rows as is the default for Ren'Py. Here is an example of the mockup I made & what I am trying to achieve: https://i.imgur.com/zYpciDX.jpg I understand how to customize Ren'Py textb...

[SOLVED] Custom Nameboxes for each Character?

Hello, I am working on coding the nameboxes for my game. I was wondering if it would be possible to create custom nameboxes for each character, with their names already included in the namebox? I found this neat tutorial on renpy.org that explains how to add & change nameboxes: https://www.renpy.org...

Re: Sasquatchii's Art Thread (Critiques & Constructive Criticism Requested) [NSFW]

Thanks for the critique, Mikola! The guy lying down was lying down on a shaggy rug, which I think contributes to his legs looking weird. I recently worked on drawing another guy: https://i.imgur.com/kqMPUlt.jpg I wanted to do a skin, color, and shading study! Skin is HARD. And I know there's somethi...

Modern shapes, pastels, blues and reds... makes me think of Potouto! Is he the one you're looking for?

Re: Feedback for handsome butler

This looks really nice!! I love his face, his hair, & his eyes. I think all of these things (combined with his sense of fashion) gives you a really good glimpse into who he is & what he's all about at a glance. I'd like to echo other users & say that one thing you could improve on would be his cloth...

Trying to get a better feel for drawing male figures/anatomy. For some reason, men are SO MUCH harder than women are for me! Does anyone else have this problem? I really struggled with just these 2 sketches, no idea why it's that different but it is ;_;

Re: Sasquatchii's Art Thread (Critiques & Constructive Criticism Requested) [NSFW]

Here are some ladies that I recently drew: https://i.imgur.com/ryzmSM9.jpg Women are so fun to draw! I wanted to look @ different body types and would like to continue drawing various body types. They are a bit rough/unfinished right now, I don't think I'll add color to them, as I wanted to focus mo...

Re: Sasquatchii's Art Thread (Critiques & Constructive Criticism Requested) [NSFW]

Thank you, TellerFarsight! I went back and revised the woman's arm and leg. http://i.imgur.com/feGkJQL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PIupYSt.jpg *Before On Left & After on Right With the photo reference I used, I noticed that her arm was bent slightly, and I did not do a very good job of shading beneath t...

I think I could work more on my lineart / shading, but wanted to do this quickly and get something down first before cleaning everything up :)
