Re: Background 2D/3D artist

Keeping an eye on this thread, your BGs look spectacular and you might be what I need for my project. :)

Re: GlassHeart's background commissions

Hey there! Just wondering if you received my email with my inquiry from a few days ago; haven't heard from you yet.
Your BGs are too good to pass up :)

Re: Anime due for a remake

I'd love to see the first three seasons of Working!! get a remake. I'm a bit of a fan of the series, having watched up to season 4 (though it has completely different characters than the first three). A very cute and funny slice-of-life series, it kind of what inspired my VN projects. However, what ...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

This is disconcerting...
I learned that my artist for my Café Memoria Deux project attempted suicide, via her Twitter account.

Please, pray for her recovery.

Re: A manga/game you wished was an anime?

This reminds me when I was talking about my projects to family once. Something like I release it and if it becomes super popular, there's a chance big production studios might contact me and offer a contract for an anime adaption. That would be like a dream come true if my projects ever get an anime...

Re: Disappearing Artist

Oi, I feel your pain as I'm kind of going through that with my own project as well. :( It might be really difficult for you to swallow, but if there hasn't been much progress lately and combined with the lack of communication (provided you've given enough time for them to respond), you might be bett...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I could give a long, drawn out explination, but it would likely end up with me going way off topic. It tends to come down to one of two things. a) The person does want to talk to you, but feels like they have nothinnng they can contribute to what it is you are wanting to talk about at the time, or ...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

A "little" pet peeve of mine - why is it that when you try to start a conversation to some people, but then they reply to it with something completely off-topic to what you're saying, as if they're ignoring what you're saying? For example: Me: I feel like I should cut back on so-and-so a bit. Him: O...

Re: How do you have the commitment?

Even if it's only say 20 minutes, consistently putting some time into your project daily helps immensely. I third this. As long as at least little something gets done then it's good. To be quite honest if I don't at least get something done in a day then I start feeling bad about it. Though a littl...

Re: What was the first visual novel you played?

"Kanon" was among the first VNs I've played because I liked the anime (Nayuki's freakin' cute!). That was like... over 10 years ago? Wow. Then there's "Natsuiro no Sunadokei" (aka Hourglass of Summer), played it around the same time as "Kanon" - the premise was touching enough for me to buy it off J...

Re: Why are you making your current visual novel?

Because I like my OCs. This as well, though, it's more like "love." It's just so satisfying creating OCs and giving them a world to interact in. And with the current set of characters I'm using now, I've been refining them for a very, very long time, using them in various projects along the way. It...

Re: Samantha Chan: Voice Actress [Available for Work]

I'd like to recommend Samantha! She voiced Julia in my Café Memoria project, and did a wonderful job in capturing her personality. An absolute gem to work with, you can tell she really loves voice acting in her work. When the time comes, I hope to cast her as Julia again in CM's sequel, Café Memoria...

Re: Ways to keep people motivated through the long haul

The punishment for moving forward with an unhappy party can be pretty severe, too. An unhappy employer might never work with a freelancer again, possibly terminating the contract early. An unhappy freelancer might deliver shoddy results that barely meet the definitions in the contract. I'd like to ...

Re: Ways to keep people motivated through the long haul

Well, communication is pretty important in managing / motivating a team, as it can be an indicator if you or others are taking a project seriously. Yeah, sure, giving some incentive like payment can be a factor, but in the end communication plays a big role. Also, a lack of progress (given a reasona...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

So, today at work: (walking, approaching supervisor) Me: Hey, good morning! Her: (snaps irritably at me) Hey! ...really, you don't want to have a good morning? I didn't say that to her, but still. That almost ruined my day, but thankfully I have a whole lot of other co-workers who made the day more ...
