Re: Possible to have key press/ hover action?

I've tried a few things and changed my code slightly: # in preferences hbox: style_group "pref" spacing 57 xalign 0.5 text _("Music Volume") ypos 10 bar value Preference("music volume") hovered Show("my_keys_operate_scr", mixer='music') unhovered Hide("my_keys_operate_scr") ypos 10 hbox: style_group...

Re: Jumping to another screen via screen conditional

Hey I really appreciate your help :) Unfortunately, I still can't get it to work. I tried your code and added "" to the screen name but it didn't work, so I tried a few other things which didn't help either :( Anyway, here's my current code: on "show" action If(len(persistent.endings) == 1, true = S...

Possible to have key press/ hover action?

Hi all, Is there an action I can add which creates an up/down key press? Or an action that will hover over a certain button? In my preferences screen, my music and sfx bars can be adjusted by pressing left/ right. I was having some issues with left/ right selecting other buttons on the screen, so I ...

[SOLVED] Jumping to another screen via screen conditional

Hi all, On my main menu, I have a conditional which, if you've played the game once, pops up and congratulates you. Originally, I had this code below, which worked but the "okay" button would occasionally not focus by default and wouldn't even highlight if I pressed left, right, up, down on the cont...

Re: Skip/ Fast-Forward not stopping at end of game as told

This is how I've defined the persistent endings (in script.rpy): init: define persistent.endings = [ ] I haven't had any issues with them until I changed the fast-forward/ skip code. No matter which way I test them, my endings 1, 2 and 3 ("neutral", "friends_lie" and "rejection") work, but 4-12 do n...

Re: Skip/ Fast-Forward not stopping at end of game as told

Ah, sorry. I didn't make my code very clear. These are two endings that I put together just for the example. Hopefully, this makes more sense: ## FIRST ENDING WHICH WORKS $achievement.grant("end01") init: $achievement.register("end01") stop music fadeout 6 scene black with Dissolve(3.0) if not "neut...

Re: Key "focus_left/right" jumping off screen to screen below

In your preferences screen you can add some checking for if a my_keys_operate_scr screen is shown and if not then set NullAction for left and right keys or something like that. Thanks Alex! I added this to preferences: if renpy.get_screen("my_keys_operate_scr"): key 'focus_left' action NullAction()...

[SOLVED] Skip/ Fast-Forward not stopping at end of game as told

Hi all. I have my skip set up differently for it to work with controllers and from a pause screen. Anyway, this is how it works: label pause_return: if fastforward == "on": $ toggle_skipping() return else: return In screens.rpy: # in pause menu button: action ToggleVariable("fastforward", "on", "off...

Re: [SOLVED] "Unbound method get_tooltip() must be called with Return"

Return is class, calling class, like this - Return(), is instancing this class, it return instance of class. Basically class is blueprint, instance of class is actual thing made by this blueprint. Instance of Return return either None or some value. But Return() also return value - instance of clas...

It works thank you. What is the reason for it to stop working now?

[SOLVED] "Unbound method get_tooltip() must be called with Return"

Hi all, I'm revisiting an older project and whenever I hover over the text button in a screen, I get an error: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/script.rpy", line 6022, in script call call first_memory File "game/memories.rpy", line 398, in script cal...

Re: Hiding mouse cursor on key press

Well, if you didn't updated RenPy and thing worked before then you changed game code in way what disabled it. Check if screen is being shown, just add some image to screen. If screen is shown then try adding "print('IT WORKS')" after "renpy.game.interface.mouse_event_time=0", if you see "IT WORKS!"...

Oh... Sadly, this isn't working any more. It stopped working even before I updated Ren'Py :(
