Re: How to affect multiple screens with the same transition?
...Is there any way I can get these two to hide or show on the same line? You can create a function to hide/show several screens at once, like screen a_scr(): text "A" align(0.5, 0.1) screen b_scr(): text "B" align(0.5, 0.15) screen c_scr(): text "C" align(0.5, 0.2) init python: def hide_screens_fu...

Re: How to affect multiple screens with the same transition?
do X with Y is equivalent to with None do X with Y So, if you wish same Y applied to multiple X, you need to drop short version and use with command separately. Hi again, Ocelot! I wound up creating subroutines with these functions and calling them whenever I wanted to do my screen transition. labe...

Re: How to affect multiple screens with the same transition?
Would this work? screen screen_main: # screen code here use screen_inventory use screen_tooltip use screen_navbar Creating another screen which encapsulates the other two? Maybe, I'm not sure. I haven't thought of that. I'll give the other ideas a try and come back to this if it doesn't pan out.

[Solved] How to affect multiple screens with the same transition?
What I'm trying to do is hide/show multiple screens in the same transition. Between scenes, here is what I'd like to happen hide screen UI with dissolve scene black with fade (some scene transition text is shown) scene (whatever the next scene's BG image is) with fade UI shows with dissolve Now, thi...

Re: Yudashi Peril: Floraison [GxG][Drama][Mystery][Romance Game?][Mature Themes][TBD]
Mainly been working on the script for the past few months. Reorganized the structure of the events in the index. Ran through it and did some bug catching. Still have to implement a lot of mechanics and features, which will require some time, but I have decided to write out a manual that describes ex...

I've still been working on it. Coding and writing has slowed down, but I've uploaded the music I've created for the game thus far here:

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Update: using background At("say_box composite", box_pos) worked.
Here's what it looks like now. I'll use this method going forward as best as I can.
Thank you for the help.

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Okay, so it should be something like this?
background At("say_box composite", box_pos)
I only ask because in the setup you gave me, it was this:
background At("say_box", box_pos)
So I'm just confused if that's what needs to be changed

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Thank you. I removed the "=", and it doesn't give me the error anymore. However, there is no image displayed. It says "Image 'say_box' not found". To reiterate, I have this in screens.rpy: style window: xalign 0.5 xfill True yalign gui.textbox_yalign ysize gui.textbox_height # set background to comp...

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Oop-- sorry, didn't read your bit about the window code. I changed it, as suggested, to: style window: xalign 0.5 xfill True yalign gui.textbox_yalign ysize gui.textbox_height # set background to composite image "say_box", at position defined in box_pos background At("say_box", box_pos) That part se...

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Thank you, but it seems I'm still having trouble. Sorry for not copy-pasting exactly how you had it, but I'm trying to see if I understand how to apply what you're explaining. I'm going with images as opposed to boxes rendered in-game since I can't quite figure out how to render a box with rounded c...

Re: Display Layered Images In Textbox
Thank you for replying. Sorry for the late response, but I'm still having trouble with this. The issue I've been running into with these things is that I never know how to properly call upon that when it comes to the syntax for the window code. I keep getting errors no matter where I put the composi...
